Something for the Dolls

Back to the doll food.  It's much better for my waist line.  I just listed a couple new desserts in my Etsy store.  And I will be listing a couple more tomorrow.

This is the first of one of my apple tarts.

This is the second apple tart.

There is cobbler with ice cream.

Remember the real Valentine treats I made for my boyfriend, this past February?  Well, I made one for the dolls, and it will come on a heart shaped plate.

I made another Valentine treat, that will also come on a heart shaped plate.  Neither one of the Valentine treats are listed yet.  That will happen tomorrow.  Hard to believe I'm making Valentine treats so far ahead of schedule.  Go me!

  1. Hello from Spain: I really like these apple pies for dolls. You're right if you cook your food and cakes going to get fat ... In the idyllic world of Barbie they can eat and never get fat. I like your cookies for Valentine's Day. Very lovely. Keep in touch

    1. Marta - Thanks. I'm trying to give our dolls lots of dessert choices. After all, there are zero calories in them.

  5. Love can be celebrated at any time - gag! Did I just type that! I don't do mushy. Ack, ack, ack!

The desserts look scrumptious. Some of my guys want them for screensavers ;-)

    1. D7ana - Which one of your dolls typed that? I know it wasn't you. Thanks. I don't recommend using food as a screensaver. Talk about subliminal message. You would be eating all day long.

    1. Carrickters - Thanks! Oh teas time....you just reminded me that I need to make scones and lemon curd in real life and doll life. I should probably drop 5 pounds before I make real lemon curd.

    1. Cindi - Thanks! I just put ice cream cones and cornbread in the store, and that ice cream is calling my name. I don't know how much more I can take without just wanting to over indulge in something. Darn dolls they don't know how lucky they are to be able to eat until their hearts content.

  9. Vanessa, a couple of weeks ago, me and my husband were discussing this doll hobby of mine. I told him that in many ways, this is an artistic expression. He told me that this is just play time. I told him this is art - he insisted that for me and other collectors, it is the inner child at play, and we went back and forth. I showed him your page, which at the time had a post with brownies on the table. I told him "Those brownies are making my mouth water, and it's DOLL FOOD! You can't tell me that's not art!" He had to agree with me there. :) Well, my mouth is watering again at this doll food. You do such great work!

    1. Roxanne - You and your husband are hilarious. Tell your husband that it is through play time where people realize their creativity and are able to express themselves artistically. I never would have known how creative I could be with doll food, without playing first. What comes first? The play or the art? It may be different for some people and it may vary depending on the day. I'm happy that my blog could be your back up in a time of need. LOL!
