More Thrift Store Goodies

I passed by this bag in my garage a couple days ago.  Then remembered I had stopped by a new Goodwill last Sunday.  Let's take a look.

I found a Groovy Girls tent for $1.51.

It goes quite nicely with the Groovy Girls booth I bought some years ago from another thrift store.

The tent is so cute.  I came up with a nice little story.  I was thinking Rod and Danielle could take Nicole and a few friends camping at Rod's cabin up in the woods.

This was three pieces for $2.92

Here they are.  I like that they are modular.  I think the fireplace/tv wall will go nicely (once painted) in the Anderson's bedroom.

Found this auburn haired Theresa for $1.21.

I didn't have a clue what this was.  I knew it was pet related and a good deal at $2.92.

This is the inside.  Does anyone know the name of this set?

The backside.

Last but not least, is a grandfather clock my mom picked up at a different Goodwill.  It was marked $3.43, but she gets a 25% off senior discount.

  1. Hello from Spain: your purchases always nice and cheap things. Your purchases are very good for our stories. I like the modular. Always adapt well to all scenes. The fireplace I really like. The grandfather clock in is awesome. Keep in touch

  5. Great finds! I have that horse stable. It is from the late 90s or early 2000s. I got mine on clearance at Toys R Us. The box is long gone, though, so I don't know the name either.

  7. You and your mom always find awesome things at thrift stores! There must be some great ones in your area. I thought that was a horse stable, but I wasn't sure if it was for Barbie. Then again, Mattel doesn't always make things in true Barbie scale. Love the clock and the modulars. Wedding dress is definitely Fashion Avenue. I think I have it somewhere. LOL :-)

    1. Cindi - There are so many thrift stores near me. It's mind boggling. I said one day I was going to spend the whole day thrift store hopping and visiting ones I never get to. I thought it was for dogs and cats. It's so tiny. Glad I know the name now. I can look it up and see what's missing.

  8. Hi Van,
I don't know about the stable either but I like it for the pet shop with the cute little puppies you showed some time back. It can be their grooming station or something. I really like that booth! Hey, your Goodwill has better prices than my Goodwill! LOL

    1. Grandmommy - I'm with you. I plan on using it for the dogs and cats. The majority of our Goodwills have great prices. One is way overpriced.

  13. Congrats on your great finds Vanessa!
I don't know the name of the stable ,but I've seen it brand new. My friend when I we where younger( back in the early 2000s) had one, and we would play with it for hours on end. It originally came with a full size horse and a filly. The little plastic cylinder on the wall would originally have little plastic green pebbles in it for the horses to eat. So it was some sort of food.

  14. That is a great haul! I love the clock. I looked at one like that but they wanted way to much for it! I have that tent too. I don't remember what I payed for it. It does look girly and I think Nicole would like it. I think the modulars were sold in the Penny's Xmas catalog. I have seen the bathroom was sold in Value Store for 19.99 with the doll but it was a cheap doll. I think you make out at that price. Congrats!

  16. With all those clocks that just means you need to make a pawn shop dio and have some of your older dolls man it.

You mom and I need to go thrifting together. We could be like Thelma and Lousie - without the cliff.
