Monica Is Settling In (Photostory)

This is Monica's apartment.  She is just about settled in.

"Good morning, Kiki Lou."

Kiki Lou is busy having her morning bath.

Monica picks up Kiki as she contemplates her day.

She takes a look in the mirror and starts on her morning affirmations.
"Good Morning! Yes, it will be a good morning and a good day!
I enter this day with an attitude of appreciation.
Good Morning Life! I am so grateful to be alive today.
Today my world is changing for the better. I open my awareness to my shifting reality."

She is interrupted by Teddy's barking.  Monica stops, puts Kiki down and picks up Teddy.

"What's all the barking about?  You are so spoiled.  Let's go get some breakfast."

Monica starts fixing some tea and toast for breakfast.  Teddy waits patiently for something to fall on the floor.

Back at the Andersons:
David is getting the whirlpool started while Leslie and Ciana fix dinner.

We'll check back on them later.  I used my new favorite paint to get rid of the pink on the whirlpool.

  1. Hey, I'm the first to comment! Love the dio and I really love her morning affirmations! I should start my day that way. What body is she on? Question, I don't know if it is just me but I can click on some of the pictures to see them larger?

    1. Ms. Leo - You sound like my YouTube watchers with 'the first comment'. Thanks. She is on a Disney Princess Tiana body. I'm getting ready to switch her to a new Kara body, so she can sit better. Some other lucky lady will get this body.

  2. Her place is so trendy with kind of a hipster vibe, with the yellow lurking around. Kiki-Lou looks like a sweetheart (although I might be biased since I love cats). So adorable!

    1. Verona - Thanks. Kiki-Lou is what I used to call my ex-husband's cat. She looked just like this one. Monica is more of a dog person, but she loves all animals.

  3. Monica is ready for company! They will all say, "nice place!" Her body doesn't look as nice as the other ladies.
That blue looks good in the hot tub.

  4. Grandmommy - Monica has made a few friends. Maybe she will entertain soon. She said she's glad you like her new place. Her body has some really good things about it, and one major not so good thing. She can't sit as well as the other bodies. She does have bendable ankles and can wear both high heels and flats. A big plus.

  7. Uh, heck yeah, I'd be settling in too, and I'd never want to go to work. XD

  10. Love Monica's apartment. It feels very cozy and comfortable. And her affirmations really are a great way to start everyday. The hot tub came out nice also. What piece did you use for that? :-)

    1. Cindo - Thanks. That hot tub is an old Barbie one I found at a local doll show last year for $1. I still have the box. When I get home, I will check to see the name of it.

    1. limbe dolls - Kiki Lou is the what I used to call my ex-husbands cat. Her name was Kiki. I added the Lou. I have to do a story or two for Monica soon. Her apartment is located in the same space I had planned to put her pet shop. That's why I do quick dios, so I can take them down and put them back up quickly.

  12. Oh, wow! Those colors pop! I just love them. Monica is a very lucky girl. The hot tub enclosure at the Andersons is awesome. Glad David is cool again with his manhood so it can fulfill its promise of happy times. ;-)

    1. Roville - I guess Monica likes bright colors. She didn't get that from me. I'm more of an earth tone person. I think every master bedroom should have a hot tub somewhere nearby. David plans to test out his manhood a little later. LOL.

  14. Monica's apartment looks amazing! I absolutely love the colors. The morning affirmations are a great idea! I say my thanks to the Lord for waking me up each day but I need to work on setting a positive mood in motion before my day begins. I'm going to try this.

I love what you did with the spa, brown is one of my favorite colors...so rich. Looking forward to the next story. :)

    1. Tracy - Thanks. Monica has reminded me how great affirmations are. I need to start doing them again myself. If you need help finding some good ones, just google 'morning affirmations', or just 'affirmations'. David and Leslie are about to get their party on.

  17. Awesome as usual, lol! I love the repaint, what kind of paint is used for that because I've passed up a couple of good deals because I didn't know how to repaint the pieces.

    1. Toni - Thanks. I'm not the greatest at repainting plastic furniture, but the 'new to me' 2x coverage paint makes it very easy. You can see a picture of it here at this blog post. http://vansdolltreasures.blogspot.com/2013/04/victorian-house-progress-and-empanadas.html

  19. Hello Vanessa !
Monica has a nice room, very cosy. At the first picture, I saw the York Shire photography and the sunflower (sunflowers was Michael Jackson's favorites flowers). I like cats but I prefer dogs.
I should do affirmations every morning like Monica because life is precious despite worries.

    1. Claude - Thanks. I didn't know sunflowers were Mike's favorite flowers. I am okay with cats, but would much rather have dogs. Try affirmations. You would be surprised how much of a difference it can make.

  22. Great story, love both the dog and the cat (and the fur rug too). The only thing I'm a little confused about is how come Monica is making breakfast while Leslie and Ciana are making dinner? Is there an international time line through the middle of Morristown?

    1. Carrickters - Thanks. This is two different days. Leslie and David are a couple nights before. My continuation of stories may take me a few days to complete, but it's always still referenced back to the original day. It allows me to keep moving forward and showing more stories.

  23. Love Monica's place, it looks very cozy, and the mirror was a great idea, it opens the space and makes a wonderful decoration. And the whirpool looks awesome in that new wooden paint, so much better than in pink.
