Finding A Party Space (Photostory)

Happy belated Mother's Day!  I tried to post yesterday, but still having internet trouble.  Hope all you mothers had a wonderful day.

Mrs. Langford and her daughter Jacquelyn, have been looking for a space for Kendra's baby shower.  This is the last place to look at before making a decision.

"So this is the room I spoke about on the phone.  Based on the number of guests you are expecting, I think this would work perfectly."  (Grace)

"There's plenty of space for your guests and your food .  We have a number of different room layouts you can choose from."  (Grace)
"It's a nice space.  This just might work."  (Camille)

"We can provide decorating services if you like."  (Grace)
"I think my daughters are looking forward to decorating."  (Camille)

"So what do you think?"  (Camille)
"It's the best one we've seen so far.  I think we should book it."  (Jacquelyn)
"I'm a little concerned about that blue wall.  It's going to limit our decorating."  (Camille)
"Mom, we can work around it.  We are running out of time and we have to pick a space today."  (Jacquelyn)
"You're right.  You're right."  (Camille)

"We're going to take it."  (Camille)
"Great.  Let's go to my office to finalize the details."  (Grace)

Keith put the first coat of stain on Kendra's crib.  He has a few more things to do to finish it before the baby shower.

"Honey, you did a great job on the crib."  (Vanessa)
"Thanks.  It's not quite finished, but it will be ready in time."  (Keith)
"I'm sure she is going to love it."  (Vanessa)

    1. Duke of Swann - Thanks for your lovely comments. Maybe one day they will own one of your jewelry pieces. As it stands now, I buy jewelry and it never gets worn. I think my dolls are like me. They don't tend to wear a lot of jewelry.

  2. Well, even if Grace hasn't an articulated body, I find her very elegant and classy with the mm body

I'm hosting a contest on my blog for my 100th post, I will be glad if you would enter

  4. You always have such cool stuff in your photo stories. Have you been just collecting things for years or is it from your childhood stash? My daughter has a box in storage that I wish I could get my hands on. That must be why she has it in another state*o* Great job...

    1. nykole - Thanks. I've been collecting for years, but none of this stuff is from my childhood. My mom sold all that stuff off years ago. LOL about your daughter's stash. Maybe you could convince her to let you use it for awhile.

    1. Puck - Thanks! I made that dress many years ago when I used to sell doll clothes. Seems like another lifetime.

    1. Loretta - Thanks. It seemed like a dress Camille would wear. I'm glad Camille has the girls handling the decorating. One less thing I have to worry about. Happy belated Mother's Day!

  7. That Grace is a bombshell! When Camille was beginning to show hesitation, I was a bit worried, but at least she thought of it more in a praticial sense and took the room. I'm looking forward to Kendra's baby shower.

    1. Verona - I can't wait to put Grace on her new body. She will probably get a name change with the new body. We already have a Grace here. I have to find a name that suits her. That's why Camille brings Jacquelyn along to help with the decision making.

  8. Hello from Spain: Happy Mother's Day. In my country we celebrate the day the first Sunday of May. It's a real family celebration. I'm looking forward to seeing the baby shower for Kendra. I see that you have a Grace Kelly. I love it. I adore the dress Camille's wearing. The two bags are very pretty. Your collection of chairs is awesome. Keep in touch

  10. Wow, how big a family does she have to need a hall to host a baby shower? I'm not up on such things - do men come to baby showers? It's not like a bridal shower - ladies only - is it?

    1. Muff - You know Camille likes to do it big. It's for friends and family. Sometimes men do come to baby showers, but not often. Her husband will be there, though. A couple other men may show up, too.

  11. I must admit I was wondering how many are coming to this baby shower. Or are you just making sure there is enough space for all of us to attend? I'm sure the girls can get around the blue wall in some amazingly creative way. And the crib looks great.

    1. Carrickters - I think the room looks bigger in the pictures than it really is. Camille still can't decide on a layout yet. She's still finalizing the guest list.
