One Final Goodbye (Photostory)

Jay Chou and his band booked a gig that will take them away from Morristown for about 3 days.  The instruments have been loaded onto the bus and the families are saying their last goodbyes.

This is a particularly sad goodbye for Kyori and Jay.  She is flying out tomorrow to do a small part in a TV series.  She will be gone for a whole month.

JB is ecstatic.  This is his first away gig.  He's convinced his mom that this is really what he wants to do with his life and she is finally on board.  Of course he's bringing his PS2 to keep him busy.

This will be Carmen and Max's first time apart since they started dating.

Chris is saying goodbye to Jolisa and Kara.  Jolisa doesn't quite understand why he won't be there for her bedtime story.

Kara reassures him they will be okay.

JB, Max, and Jay have made their way onto the bus.  Carmen and Kyori have both taken off already.

It has finally hit little Jolisa that daddy is getting on the bus without her.

"Come on Jolisa.  Daddy has to go."  (Kara)

"Is he coming back?"  (Jolisa through her muffled cries)
"Yes, honey.  He just has to go to work.  He will be back in three days.  We'll have to do something special when he comes back.  Now don't you want to wave goodbye?"  (Kara)
"No."  (Jolisa)

Kara waves as the bus pulls off.

True to her word, Jolisa never raises her hand to wave.

    1. Marta - Thanks. Farewells can be very sad. I had to lift the bus a llittle to make the height better for the Barbies.

  5. Awww, I feel awful for Jolisa. It has to be hard for everyone, but especially her. At least it won't be for too long.

  6. LOL, Jolisa is like, "This is some BS - What's happening?! I did not authorize this!"

Carmen is the one who is worried about groupies, right? Is she going to follow them?!

I really like these photos, especially the first one. In the light box it's almost panoramic.

    1. Muff - Jolisa is never happy at the thought of her bedtime story time being altered. She has adequately voiced her discontent.

LOL! I should have checked to see if Carmen was hanging onto the bus bumper. Let's hope she went on with her day and didn't follow the bus.

  7. This post has touched me... I have to say goodbye to my husband many times, cause he is working 900 kms away from home. and we just can see each other four or five days when he comes home, and that is just once or twice a month. So I understand perfectly the feelings you've perfectly caught in those pictures.

    1. Farbield - Thanks! I recently bought that van from a thrift store for $2.42. It's a little small for Barbie, but it worked out well for this story.

  11. Hey there Vanessa, just wanted to say hello while I'm on here for Loretta. She told me you've had some really good stories to tell lately. This one is a good one. Loretta has that old flu bug and I'm taking care of her.
Now, you take care of yourself,
    James

  13. Poor Jolisa - I hope we get a story of them coming back so we can see her being happy. Your photos are great, you can see Jolisa hanging onto her mum and not being happy at all. I hope they have a good gig.
