Sunni Holds an Open House

A few weeks ago I bought the Happy Family SmartHouse from Ms. Leo.  She had it available for an incredible price.  $25!  No, I did not need another house, but I couldn't pass that up.  Sunni, our resident Realtor just landed this listing and she is holding an Open House, today.

Sunni arrives at the property 30 mins before the Open House start time.

Once inside, she turns on the lights and takes a look around.  She had her assistant set up a table and chairs the day before.

She would rather show this place staged, but the seller insists on showing it right away.   She decides to call Vanessa to see if she will consider staging it for further showings.

"Hey Vanessa.  How are you?  This is Sunni."  (Sunni)
"Hello Sunni.  What's up?"  (Vanessa)
"Are you busy today?  I was hoping you could drop by my new listing and tell me how much it would cost to stage it."  (Sunni)

Just at that moment the door opens and in walks Kate, and her husband Tim and their son, William.

"Let me call you back, Vanessa.  Clients just came in the door."  (Sunni)

"Kate, right?" (Sunni)
"Yes.  You remembered.  This is my husband Tim, and you already met my son, William."  (Kate)

"I'm so glad you got a chance to stop by.  I think this may be just what you are looking for.  Let me give you a tour."  (Sunni)

Just then Dominique enters with her daughter, Naisha, and granddaughter, Kimaya.
"Oh looks like I have another client.  Why don't you take a look around and I will catch up with you and answer any questions.  There are several more rooms on this floor and a few on the second level."  (Sunni)

"Hello Sunni.  How are you?"  (Dominique)
"I'm great.  I know you aren't looking for a new place, are you?"  (Sunni)

"No.  I brought Naisha by to take a look.  It's such a good time to buy, I thought we would look at getting her and my granddaughter a nice little place."  (Dominique)
"That's great!  So Naisha, do you have an idea of what you are looking for exactly?" (Sunni)

"I have no idea.  We are just starting to look."  (Naisha)
"Why don't you take a look at this place.  It's a wonderful 3 bedroom, 2 bath home.  It has great bones, but as you can see, it's going to need a little work, but the price is definitely right."  (Sunni)

"Have you already been pre-approved for a loan?"  (Sunni)
"No."  (Naisha)
"Well while you guys take a look around, I will call a couple of loan officers, that I work with, and let them know they may be getting a call from you soon."  (Sunni)

"Hey Rick.  What's going on?  I may have a potential client for you.  She's a first-time home buyer......"  (Sunni)
Before she can continue her conversation, the door opens again and in walks Bridget with her sister, Cheryl and her daughter.

"Rick, let me get back to you."  (Sunni)

"Bridget, how are you?"  (Sunni)
"I'm great.  This is my sister, Cheryl and her daughter, Becky.  They just moved to town and they are looking for a house.  This one may be too small, but I thought maybe you had some others you could show her."  (Bridget)
"Hello Cheryl.  Why don't you guys have a seat and I can get some information from you.  Let me get my Ipad so I can pull up some other listings."  (Sunni)

"So what kind of house are you looking for?"  (Sunni)
"We need at least three bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths.  I'd like a nice yard.  A basement would be nice, too."  (Cheryl)

"How soon are you looking to move in?"  (Sunni)

"The sooner, the better.  Right now we are staying with my sister." (Cheryl)

"You like this house, Kimaya?"  (Naisha)
"Uh, huh."  (Kimaya)

"So, what do you think?"  (Dominique)
"I like it, but it needs some work.  I don't know if I want to get a place and then have to fix it up."  (Naisha)
"Well it won't take a lot to fix this up.  I can have my handyman come take a look at it and estimate how much it would cost to fix it up."  (Dominique)
"Ok."  (Naisha)

Looks like Sunni has her hands full.  We will leave her to handle her business.  She may not need to stage this place after all.  Who knows, she may even write a contract on it before the day is over.  The Cheryl doll is my newly deboxed Barbie Basics 3.0 #4.  Becky is the Growing Shelley doll from the Pediatrician set.  I will show a picture of her next to a regular Shelley doll soon.

Meet the McGraws.  Tim, Kate and William. The Tim McGraw doll finally got deboxed today.  What a hunk!  Please forgive Kate's exposed belly.  I don't know what she was thinking when you put on that outfit.

  2. Hubby Hubby, that Tim doll is even more hunkier in action! I guess he and Kate are the kind of hot parents around the neighbrhood! It seems to me Naisha doesn't really want to take on the responisbilty of a house. Hmmm, maybe if she gets one, she'll mature a bit.

    1. Verona - Tim is definitely a looker. Kate is a doll I bought at a doll show 2 years ago. She was $2. I like her look. Naisha is probablynot ready for home ownership.

  3. Oh, Vanessa! I am so happy the the Smart House is happy with you! It sat in the back of my closet for too long. It is perfect for one of your families or maybe even a meeting place. Have fun Smart House and remember it is your job to make dolls happy! Sunni, Girl do your magic!

    1. Ms Leo - Yes the residents are very happy to have more housing options. Thanks for letting it go. It will be used for a few different families. I'm glad it's not as big as that box suggested.

    2. If you only knew what it took to find a box for that house you would pat me on the back. I am shipping a lot more now and ordering less. Finding packaging can present its' own challenges!

    3. Ms Leo - Whenever I run low on packing peanuts, I use that as an excuse to order from Barbiecollector.com. Lol.

  5. I like William, this Tommy doll is one of my favourite ones, even if he is not AA. :) Kimaya is also very nice, I have such a doll now too. There are no AA Ty li'l ones in Russia of course... As usually. We have only one red-headed doll and two identical blond dolls in different outfits. I really can't understand this logic. And Becky is a Chelsea doll, yes? It would be very interesting to get some information about her growing option. We have this set in stores in Russia (at least had some time ago), but it looks like nobody on DollPlanet has it and nobody can tell us, how it works.

  6. Great story but I bet Sunni won't be selling it for $25. I wonder who will buy it and whether it will be staged or done up after purchase - either way it will be good to see what you do with the house.

    1. Carrickters - Real estate is good, but it's not that good! Sunni will get a really good price on this one.

  7. This is like a real estate episode on HGTV. There's so much traffic Vanessa might not be needed for a staging.

  11. Well, Sunni is quite busy, I'm sure she'll sell the house today, the question is... who will be the owner?

    1. Rossetti - Hopefully there won't be a bidding war. That would be great for Sunni & the seller.

  12. I like the wall you added to the kitchen. It fits right in and looks like it was an original part of the house.

    1. Limbe dolls - Thanks. I have a feeling that wall might get torn down if the Mcgraws get the house. They were talking major renovations.

  13. Hello from Spain: I like the McGraw family. Congratulations on purchasing the home of Miss Leo. It's a nice house. In my country, when a person wants to buy a house is with a real estate worker to visit the home. I see that your country is an open day at home ... It is interesting to know these customs of your country. Keep in touch

I LOVE that Tommy. He's so cute.

I think that Kate was thinking about Tim when she chose that top, lol.

    1. Mustiwait - Yes, he is! I will have to show him more often now that he is out the box. I got my set for a great price, too, during a BC sale and using my $20 coupon. I haven't seen these in my Big Lots. They should have been able to do a better job on Faith.
