Shopping for Furniture (A New Sofa)

Morristown has one large furniture store on the outskirts of town.  Even though it's over 20,000 sq. ft, it is broken down into smaller quaint rooms to make the customers feel more like they are in a home, versus a warehouse.  The McGraws are window shopping today.  They just put an offer in on the townhouse Sunni is selling.  They decided to stop by and get some decorating ideas.

"That's a really nice sofa.  Too bad it's white.  Little sticky fingers here, would have that ruined in no time."  (Kate)

"What about this color?"  (Tim)
"That's nice, but it doesn't go with the chairs."  (Kate)

"Honey, this one is perfect.  Come sit down.  Try it out."  (Kate)

"Okay Jordan, it's right in here."  (Lydia)

"So what do you think?"  (Lydia)
"Very nice.  It` looks even better than the pictures you showed me." (Jordan)
"Why don't you test it out?"  (Lydia)

"Comfy, isn't it?"  (Kate)

"So how does it feel?"  (Lydia)

"It's pretty comfortable.  Are you sure it's going to fit in that alcove?"  (Jordan)
"Yes, it's going to fit.  I measured it the first time I saw it."  (Lydia)

"I love that birdcage.  I think we should get that, too."  (Jordan)

"Honey, can we get it today?"  (Kate)
"Remember what the Realtor said?  No large purchases before we solidify the home loan."  (Tim)
"Shoot.  I forgot about that."  (Kate)
"Can we go, now?  I'm getting hungry."  (Tim)
"Right after we look at the dining sets.  It's on the way out.  Let's go."  (Kate)

"That's a nice vase.  It would look great in the foyer."  (Kate)
Tim gently pushes his wife out the door and on to the dining room area.

Kara finally met up with Karla and after visiting a couple boutiques, they land at the furniture store.
"Let's check this room first."  (Karla)

"I can't believe you are looking for more furniture.  Your condo is pretty full."  (Kara)
"I just need a few more accessories."  (Karla)

"So Lydia, what does your client think of the sofa?"  (Kira)
"She loves it.  We'd like to go ahead and order one."  (Lydia)

"I like that mirror."  (Karla)
"Where would you put that?"  (Kara)

"In the guest room.  The mirror I have in there is pretty old." (Karla)

"Mommy?  Mommy I can see you in the mirror."  (Jolisa)

This is the new sofa.  It will by listed my Etsy store before 7am tomorrow morning.

  5. Kate and Tim seem very sure that there going to get the house! I think it's perfect for a growing family. And what's this? Is Jordan getting furniture for her own home?

    1. Verona - Tim and Kate are typical home buyers. They are putting the cart before the horse. My advice to them would be slow down. It's never a done deal until they have keys in hand. If I have my way, that sofashe chose will never be seen in Morristown again. LOL.

  11. Seriously, Vanessa?! Your dollies get to shop at a gorgeous showroom in a large furniture store? Your dolls live fantastic lives. The furniture is beautiful, and you have a talented way with design and arrangement.

  13. I also love the furniture! Moreville isn't big enough to have a fancy furniture showroom, so the residents simply put in custom orders--with me of course! LOL

  14. In my own life I'm not a fan of white sofas because the idea of staining it would worry me. They always look so fresh though. You've given yours quite the magestic quality with the gold pillows.

    1. Muff - Only in my doll world would I have a white (cream) sofa. Miniature drinks and food don't tend to leave stains.

  15. The sofa is beautiful, Vanessa. I visited your Etsy shop but didn't see it. It either flew out the door or you haven't had time to list it.

    I like the mirror, too.

  16. I was gonna ask who the male doll was too. I suspected it was Tim ;) It's hard to find male dolls with decent hair.

    1. Kelley - I agree. They rarely get the man's hair right. It's either molded or just the wrong style. Thanks for visiting my blog.
