"How Many in Your Party?" (Photostory)

The Taylors figured out the map and made it to Cafe Mickey's, also known as Chef Mickey's.  They are second in line to be seated.

"Welcome to Cafe Mickey's.  How many in your party?"  (Waitress)

"We are expecting one more. So there will be 3 adults and two kids."  (Summer)
"Right this way."  (Waitress)

The waitress leads them to a booth on the right.

"I'm really sorry for the delay.  We will have you seated in a moment."  (Cashier)

"Okay, thanks."  (Rod)

These are also residents from Morristown, but they have never made the acquaintance of Rod and Danielle.

Remember Jo?  She's in Adele's third grade class.

"Sorry to keep you waiting.  I have a wonderful booth for you by the window.  Follow me."  (Waitress)

"Here you are.  Will you be needing a high chair or a booster seat?"  (Waitress)
"I think we will need one of each."  (Danielle)
"Okay.  I will be right back with those."  (Waitress)

The Taylors take their seats.

"Oooh Mom, look!"  (Julian)

"I see.  I don't think you should play with it."  (Danielle)
"Oh, let him play.  They wouldn't put it on the table if they didn't want the kids to play with it."  (Rod)
"I guess you are right."  (Danielle)

Meanwhile the kitchen staff prepares for a busy day.

Head chef, Jeremiah, takes a peek into the dining room.  He is making his first Mickey pancake.  They are a huge favorite at the restaurant.

Sous chef, Charlotte, is doing prep work.

Manager, Amanda, looks into the dining area.  She is already behind the eight ball, since one of her waitresses has called out sick.  She has called for backup, but it will take at least an hour before the second waitress arrives.

We will check back on the Taylors.

  2. Jo is a sweetheart. I love her freckles. Who is the hostess with the green streak in her hair? Are Disney cast members allowed to wear styles like that? I'm very impressed with the diorama, especially the Cafe Mickey's stencil on the window. Did you put that in digitally or make a transparent window for the diorama?

    1. limbe dolls - Disney cast members are encouraged to be wear styles like that. She was actually hired because of the green streak and her cartoonish look. She is 1 Modern Circle Simone by Mattel. She was redone by the seller. I bought her at the Nov Atlanta doll show. You can see her original look here. http://www.shopping.com/Mattel-Barbie-1-Modern-Circle-Simone-Make-Up-Artist/info. I believe there were five total in this series, four girls and one boy.

    2. limbe dolls - I forgot to answer the window question. The Cafe Mickey sign is put in digitally. It was supposed to say Chef Mickey, but Cafe Mickey just rolled off my fingers and I decided to keep it.

    1. Mustiwait - Julian has been sitting in a booster seat almost every time he's gone to a restaurant. He would probably protest, but since it's the only way he can reach his food, he just deals with it.

  12. Isn't if funny that you will go to the other side of the world and meet or run into someone from around the corner! I too am a fan of Jo! She and the other in the series are on my list! Great job on the dio and story!

    1. Ms. Leo - It never fails that you will meet people from your hometown whenever you travel. When I moved to Atlanta from Rochester, I met 50 million people in the first year, who had lived in Rochester. I couldn't believe it. Jo sends her love and hopes you are able to have her in your collection soon.

  13. Darn I looked at them backwards. I thought Julian had bought the Mickey with him in the other post. I thought it was funny how he said he was still looking at it. I understand now it was very new to him.
