Can Nicole Go To DisneyWorld? (Photostory)

I know I am supposed to be posting a video today.  Slight change in plans.  Yesterday my two brothers surprised me by showing up on my doorstep last night.  Talk about surprised!  This is the first time in 12 years that my older brother is visiting me in Georgia.  My younger brother has been here several times.  Soooo, I will be tied up this weekend entertaining and enjoying my family.  I didn't want to leave you hanging, so I am posting the park conversations here.  The video will be posted next week.

It's a lovely day in Morristown and some of the residents are enjoying it outside.

The Coopers are letting the girls blow off some steam and enjoy their lunch outside.

"I think I better feed them now.  They are going to pass out from exhaustion soon with all that running around."  (Mom)

"Honey, I think you are underestimating our girls.  They have at least a couple more hours of play left in them."  (Dad)

Twin #2 is just happy to have the car to herself.

Melanie is reading a book while waiting for Rod.

"Okay Teddy.  Let's see if this nice lady minds if we sit down." (Monica)

"Excuse me, miss.  Is this seat taken?"  (Monica)

"I'm waiting for someone, but they're not here yet, so help yourself."  (Melanie)
"Thanks." (Monica)

"Cute dog.  What's his name?"  (Melanie)
"This is Teddy."  (Monica)

"Ruff, ruff, ruff." (Teddy)
"Feisty little thing, huh"  (Melanie)
"Not feisty,  just greedy.  He knows there's food over there."  (Monica)

"Do you really have to go?"  (Carmen)
"We are only going to be gone for three days."  (Max)

"I know, but all those crazy women are going to be all over you."  (Carmen)
"I know the fans get a little crazy, but we have the bodyguards.  They can't get to us."  (Max)
"Promise me you won't hang out with any girls while you are there."  (Carmen)
"You know you are the only girl I want to hang out with."  (Max)

"Okay honey.  Their plates are ready."  (Mom)

"Mommy, what is it?"  (Twin #1)
"It's your favorite.  Grilled cheese."  (Mom)
"Yay!"  (Twins in unison)
"Now have a seat on your blanket."  (Mom)

Melanie and Monica have exchanged names and gotten a little more familiar with each other.
"So how long before you get your pet shop open?"  (Melanie)
"I don't know.  It's been setback after setback.  I'm starting to think it's never going to happen." (Monica)
"I'll tell you like I tell my daughter,  the things that are most rewarding are those that are the hardest.  So don't give up.  It will be worth it in the end." (Melanie)

"Wah, wah, wah."  (baby crying)
"My goodness!  Hold on, sweetie."  (Mom)

"Daddy, where's your food?"  (Twin #1)
"Daddy is going to eat later."  (Dad)
"Why?"  (Twin #1)
"I'm not hungry right now."  (Dad)
"Why?" (Twin #1)

"Here we go.  I sure hope she's in a good mood."  (Rod to himself)

"Ok Melanie.  Remember what the therapist said.  Just breathe."  (Melanie to herself)

"Hey Melanie."  (Rod)
"Hey.  Have a seat."  (Melanie)

"So.  (pause)   How are you?"  (Melanie)
"I'm good. You doing okay?"  (Rod)
"Actually, I'm doing really good."  (Melanie)

"Oh I almost forgot."  (Melanie)

"I brought you a cup of coffee."  (Melanie)
"Wow.  It really is Christmas."  (Rod chuckling)
"Ha ha.  I just thought with the way things have been lately between us, this would be my peace offering."  (Melanie)

"Well, thanks.  How's work going?"  (Rod)
"Work is great.  It keeps me sane.  That and Nicole, of course."  (Melanie)

"Well, speaking of Nicole, I wanted to discuss Christmas plans with you."  (Rod)
"Okay.  What's on your mind?"  (Melanie)
"Danielle and I are going to visit her mom in Orlando, and thought it would be nice to take the kids to DisneyWorld, while we are there.  Do you have any objections to Nicole going with us?"  (Rod)

"So you want to take my only child completely away from me for Christmas?"  (Melanie)
"Not exactly.  We are not leaving until the day after Christmas, so you would still be able to see her Christmas day."  (Rod)

"Well, let me think."  (Melanie)
"She will be in good hands.  You know I won't let anything happen to her."  (Rod)
"As much as I hate to admit it, she loves those kids.  She would never forgive me if I was the one who said she couldn't go to DisneyWorld with those little crumbsnatchers."  (Melanie)

"MELANIE!"  (Rod)
"I know.  I know.  That was mean.  I'm sorry.  I told myself I wasn't going to be mean today."  (Melanie)

"I really am sorry.  I don't mean to take things out on those kids.  I know better.  But sometimes I just feel so out of control."  (Melanie)
"Well maybe you need to see someone about that because I can't have you attacking Danielle or her boys.  They had absolutely nothing to do with what happened to us."  (Rod)

"I know.  I am working through this and I am getting better."  (Melanie)
"So what about Nicole?"  (Rod)
"She can go.  How long are you guys going to be gone?"  (Melanie)
"I think we are flying back on New Year's Day."  (Rod)
"A whole week?!  (pause with an intense stare from Rod)  Okay."  (Melanie)

"Mommy, mommy, look."  (Twin #2)

"Honey! She shouldn't be standing up in that thing.  She is going to fall and break her neck."  (Mom)
"Honey, I got her.  She is not going to fall.  She is holding on."  (Dad)
Mom doesn't say another word.  Even though both the twins are girls, twin #2 has daredevilish ways just like a little boy.  Dad seems to enjoy this.  I guess when a father has three daughters, he welcomes anything that resembles having a son.

    1. Shasarignis - That was just a thrift store find a couple of years ago. It is not from Mattel.

  2. I'm so glad Melanie said yes and that she was being so civil. I had a feeling that her encouraging Monica and being so nice was a good sign! I'm glad that she's realizing her attitude toward the boys has been mean and that she's willing to work on it! Well, this has definitely made me smile.

    1. Alura - Melanie seems to be making some progress. I think the counseling sessions may be working. Or maybe she's been dating. Who knows. I'm just glad she is making an effort.

  3. I really love this post! I looked at the priviews from work last night but couldn't comment!:( The lighting looks filter like a day outside. The way the light come in the greenery. Where there carolers in the background too? And you used the fountain too! Nice! Carmen's outfit is HOT! The sit and spin would work here!

I'm glad Nicole is going with the family!

    1. Ms. Leo - Thanks. Yes those are carolers in the background. My stepdaughter gave those to me two Christmases ago. They were in the Christmas shopping video, but I'm not sure I showed any pictures of them. Carmen's outfit were pieces I found at the last doll show. If I hadn't gone through the entire bucket, I doubt I would have found the top and the bottom.

Girl this will be the background for many stories. I've discovered that putting houses in front of all this greenery works really well.

And no. I still haven't opened the box yet. LOL!

  5. Oh Carmen, Carmen, Carmen. Don't be so clingy. But then again, she should keep him on a short leash. Not like me, when I actually forget I'm seeing somebody LOL! And since when did Melaine become such a pacifist? It's nice to see she took Nicole's feelings into some serious consideration when she made her descion.

    1. Verona - Apparently you have never dated a drummer, who looked that good, and who was headed out to do a concert. Those women fans are brutal! I used to be one. LOL!

I think Melanie's counseling sessions are kicking in. She may also be getting some attention from a man. Whatever the case, let's welcome this little improvement.

  6. Melanie couldn't resist the little dig about the boys. Even though she knows it's wrong she still gives into it. At least she was a wee bit mellower than usual.

Carmen might need to date a non drummer if she's worried about groupies. Thinking about all the fans who want to be with your man might be too much for her.

    1. Muff - You have to give her credit for trying. GROUPIES! I couldn't for the life of me remember that word. Yeah, she might need to let him go. I would be all over that. LOL! Did I say that out loud?

  7. So typical - all sorts of stories happening all over the park - a great story. And a great outcome for Nicole. Hopefully Melanie can have a happy time between Christmas and New Year without her

    1. Carrickters - LOL! It's the best way to get all the stories told of this growing town. Maybe Melanie will take that time to go visit family. Her mom lives out of time. Would be a great time for a mini getaway.

  8. Hi Vanessa,

What is the name of head sculpt of doll used for Max? He is HOT, I need him in my upcoming dollie world. I hope you are enjoying your surprise visit!

    Thanks and Happy Holidays!

    1. AG Lane - That is the Max doll from the band The Wanted. I rebodied him on an action figure body. He is definitely a hottie. My surprise visit was wonderful. They left early this morning.

    2. Thanks! I googled him, the live version ain't to bad either. LOL!

  9. Melanie's therapist must be very skilled. It is harder to break old behavior patterns and habits of mind during the holidays. They bring up so many un-resolved issues. Maybe Melanie will be able to clear her head even more while Nicole is away.

    Lovely photos!

    1. limbe dolls - Her therapist is skilled, but I think her change in demeanor has just as much to do with her fellow lawyer, Noland. She allowed him to take her out and she actually had a good time.

    1. DBG - Melanie is trying. She's still prone to some hatred spewing occoasionally, but I think she wants to move into the new year with a new attitude. She's too pretty to be that ugly on the inside. So I hope she continues to make progress.
