Sharing Some Doll Goodies

Yesterday, when I went to my woodworking meeting, one of the guys presented me with this vase he made for my dolls.  Isn't it beautiful?  I forgot what kind of wood he said it was.

It's going to look wonderful in one of the dioramas.

Max arrived about a week ago.  He's looking a little scared.  I don't blame him.  He will be a hot commodity in Morristown.

You can't blame me for this purchase.  Blame, Roville.  She rebodied this guy and he is looking incredibly sexy!

I will probably do a little something to his eyes to give him a 'less deer in the headlights' look.  Need to find him a body first.

Looks like there's a new stewardess in town!  Monzieur Z First Class has joined the Barbie Friendship plane crew.  She too will get an eye repaint job.

I couldn't sleep last night, so I made Dominique a raincoat.  It still needs buttons.  The umbrella is from a LIV  clothing pack.

Antoinette has been collecting items for her garden.  She says she wants a greenhouse.  I said, maybe.

I started the transformation on turning some of my Only Heart dolls into little boys.  There will be an Asian boy as well.  The two Black dolls will get their hair flocked.  I may have cut the hair too short on the White doll.  I'm sure I will figure it out.  I will also remove the makeup.  Stay tuned to see how it all turns out.

Finally spent a little time with my scroll saw.  These are Christmas ornaments I started.  We have to take ornaments to our next meeting.  I haven't figured out how I will decorate them.  On the left is a ballerina.  On the right is a karate kid.  They are regular size....

but, I think they may make nice wall hangings in the scenes.  On the table is a golfer.  Halle is holding a rocking horse ornament.  I decided to turn this into a little seated horse rocker for the babies in Morristown. I will cut out another horse, a seat back and bottom, glue them and paint it.  Can't wait to see how it turns out!

Does anyone know where these pieces are from?  I picked them up at  a thrift store.  It would be nice to know what they were originally.

Update:  Dollz4Moi solved the mystery of the thrift store pieces.  They are from the following set.  I've never even seen this set.  It came out in 2000.  I see they had a paper shredder.  How cool!  Thanks, Dollz4Moi.

  2. Stop, stop, stop...you're killing me! LOL...you have some AWESOME finds!

Ok, let's start with the dress that Halle is wearing (not the focus I know)I love it on her.

Now on to the ornaments, very cute!

I can see the ballet ornament used in your dance studio and you've already got a golf crew going on with Darius and his hottie guy friends, so all they need is the actual club and this ornament works out perfectly.

I like the idea of a baby rocking horse, very cute. That is a beautiful raincoat on Dominique, very nice. That Max find and the re-body from Roville is getting to me. He is a HOTTIE!

I really dig the MZ for as your flight attendant. She's a lot jazzier than Barbie and I think she'll fit in perfectly.

Great job on making Only Hearts boys.I think you did a nice job on the hair.

I'm pulling for Antoinette to get a greenhouse. It would be exciting to see how you create it. I don't recognize the last items but great score!

Thanks for sharing. I'm always excited to see what you find at discount prices. :)

    1. Tracy - No, you stop! Now you got me creating a Golf Club House. Will the madness ever end? I knew I would use that one for Darius, but wasn't sure how. I was thinking maybe in his office. But I like the idea of a golf club house. You know I have been planning a karate class for years now. With the new Mattel karate suits I may get that one done soon. That is only step one on the boys. I want to flock their hair and do a lot more to really make them little boys. I also grabbed a Mattel post office and a baby jogging stroller. You will see those some other time. Thanks for looking!

    2. Dollz4Moi - That vase was a wonderful surprise. "I have the set that your computers are from" I'm confused. What computers? Are you referring to the white and green set?

  5. Vanessa,

You are going to get mad at me. I have been holding out on you. I wanted to surprise you, but since you posted this, I have to tell you I have 4
Lonely Hearts dolls to gift you. 2 blondes, 1 brunette, and 1 AA doll. I also found where my kids stuck my bubble envelopes. Hopefully can get to the Post Office to mail them tomorrow. Send me your snail mail address to my e-mail.
    Hugs!

  6. You have been busy creating and buying. When do you eat and sleep, or do you?

I love the vase. It was very sweet of your classmate to make it for you.

Max will thank you for making his eyes less deer in the headlights looking.

Love those Christmas ornaments. I'm sure you'll figure out a nice way to decorate them and still make use for them later.

The Only Hearts boys are looking cute already. Can't wait to see them when finished.

Thanks for sharing your goodies and new projects.

    1. DBG - My insomnia is worse and I get bored very easily, hence the jumping from project to project. At least I am being productive. I need an on/off switch for my brain. It keeps coming up with these grandiose projects.

    1. Verona - The young single ladies were hi-fiving and cat calling. I think that's why Max looks so scared. He didn't know what he was getting into coming here.

  10. Such awesome stuff! Is that MZ lady articulated? And did you make that raincoat out of plastic? Can Max's head bend downward? LOL, I'm being so nosy!

    1. Muff - The MZ is very articulated. It's from Integrity Toys and they do articulation well. The raincoat is made out of real raincoat material I found at the store, so it does have the plastic real to it. Max can't do anything on his current body. With his new articulated action figure body, his head should be able to move up and down.

  11. Great haul, I especially love the wooden vase.

Sounds like Max will receive a nice welcome by the girls. (p.s. I touched up his eyes and it helped reduce the startled stare.)

  12. Hello from Spain: Dominique is very smart with your creations. I really like the stewardess. I also find very sexy Max. The garden furniture is very nice. What luck to have the original furniture of Mattel. I had not seen before. Keep in touch.
