Antoinette Breaks the News to Tony

As soon as Antoinette got to the reception area, she set off to find Tony.  She wasn't sure how she was going to break the news about his father, but she knew she had to tell him something.

After finding Tony, they found a quiet spot in the courtyard to talk.

"So what's so important that it couldn't wait until after the wedding?" (Tony)

"Well, I'm not sure how to tell you this, so I will just say it.  Your father is back."  (Antoinette)
"My father?  What do you mean?  Where is he?  Are you sure it was him?"  (Tony)
"He was in the hotel parking lot and I got a chance to talk to him ."  (Antoinette)

"Did he say where the hell he's been for the past 6 years?!"  (Tony)
"Honey, your language.  No, he didn't say where he's been, but I think he's ready to talk."  (Antoinette)

"Are you okay?" (Antoinette)
"Yeah, I just don't know what I've feeling right now.  Happiness, anger, disgust..." (Tony)
"Maybe he just couldn't handle your mother's death and he felt he had to get away for awhile."  (Antoinette)
"You just don't abandon your family like that.  We've been worried about him the whole time, wondering if he was dead or alive."  (Tony)

"So what did he say and where is he now?" (Tony)
"He was thinking about coming to the reception, but I tried to tell him that wasn't a good idea.  I told him to come by the house later instead.  I wasn't sure how you and Rod would react and I didn't want him causing problems at the reception."  (Antoinette)

"Maybe I should go look for him."  (Tony)
"No.  You need to be there for Rod.  Maybe you should give him a heads up in case Freeman does show up." (Antoinette)
"I don't have a clue what I would say to him.  I just don't know how he is going to take the news.  Why the hell would Dad do this on his wedding day?"  (Tony)
"Please watch your language.  You know Kenaz repeats everything we say.  Now let's get back inside." (Antoinette)

"It's all going to be okay.  We just have to make it through the reception and then we will piece this puzzle together.  Are you going to be okay?"  (Antoinette)
"Yes, but when I see my father, you may want to stay close by to make sure I don't  cause him bodily harm." (Tony)
"I got your back, honey."  (Anoinette)

After their intimate moment, they head back inside, hoping that Freeman hadn't made an entrance yet.

  2. First, have you seen Cara and Curtis? I wonder if they arrived. I can't imagine what is going throught Tony mind now! Hopefully they will work it out and this will pass. If he know like I know, kids love their Grandpas!

    1. Brini - I saw quite a few of the blogger quests. Most have made it. I think I saw Cara and Curtis, but I've been so busy between the decorating and the food that I can't say for sure. Little Zahara would jump at the chance to wrap another man around her little fingers. Then of course there's Nicole. Wow, Julian and Jacob could be getting a father and grandfather in one fell swoop.

  3. Love all the drama LOL! I hope everything works out for them. And have Solaris and Luke shown up? Brini reminded me about them!

  4. Wow! One down, one more to hear the news. Wonder how Rod will react? I'm glad that Antoinette was able to calm Tony down.

    1. D7ana - I feel sorry for Rod already. Weddings are such emotional and draining events. Throw on top of that a missing dad. It's just not fair. Danielle may get to see a side of her new husband that she has yet to experience.

  5. Question, is Danielle's mother single?

    1. drupay - I'm not sure. I know she is not with Danielle's father, but I don't know if she has a love interest where she lives. I thought initially that she and Freeman might hit it off, but like I said, I am in the dark just like you guys until things happen. I PLAN NOTHING>

  6. Oh, the drama. Love it! Man, I would be totally chafed if my long lost relative pulled something like that on my wedding day.

    1. Muff - I would miffed, too. It would seem like they are taking advantage of my day to perhaps get a break from me going off on them. But maybe Freeman just doesn't want to miss out on another family milestone. I don't know what his thoughts were behind this little stunt.

    1. Georgia Girl - See if I had completed the reception already, this little twist couldn't have happened because Freeman wasn't available. I love justifying my procrastination.

    1. mrscarissa - I didn't see this drama coming. I thought the drama would be with Ian. I found the wallpaper at JoAnns Fabrics. I've also seen it at Michael's.

  9. Poor Tony, he looks really shocked, and he has the right to do so. I think that Antoniette was right in telling him right away, I hope Freeman will not spoil the wedding!

    1. Rossetti - Antoinette knew she had to tell him right away. If Freeman showed up and Tony found out she knew he was in town, Tony would have more than likely been mad at her. I can't wait to see how it plays out.

  11. OK, their Dad can't be Mcgraw! So who will be playing the part of Dad? Will he look like his sons...an older Rod or Tony? How long will he be alone in the town of beautie? What tricks has Vanessa up her sleve? Wow, that reminds me...Etienne's father has come to see him.

    1. Ms. Leo - Does that mean you missed the post where I showed the father? I already revealed who it is. The post is titled "Will there be drama at the reception". Oh Etienne. He's still here in town. I need to go find him.

    1. mustiwait - I hope that Rod doesn't get sidetracked. Let's hope he has that male gene that allows them to compartmentalize issues. Then he will be able to continue to enjoy his wedding and deal with Freeman later, if Freeman shows up.

  13. I hope Freeman doesn't attend the reception now that I have a clearer picture of why both his sons may not be very happy to see him, at least initially. Hopefully eventually their reunion will be happy.

  14. What a great story! Things like this happen all of the time, I'm afraid. You've made it all so realistic.

I loved seeing your trip to the park; especially getting to see a picture of you! You are so pretty; what a great smile too!

I have a few trip pictures I hope to get posted on my blog, but I feel the need to get caught up everywhere else; not sure it's possible. lol! But, I'm giving it the 'ole college try.
