Terrance and Racquel Relaxing on the New Sofa

After a long day at their jobs, Racquel and Terrance get a little adult time after putting Shay down for the night.  They are resting on the new sofa.

When I finished this sofa, I thought of Ralph Lauren.  Not exactly sure why.  It's a tweaked modern design with square contoured back pillows.  Currently available in my Etsy shop.

The two blue striped throw pillows are the same as the sofa fabric on the other side.  This gives a lot more versatility.  You can completely remove the back pillows and just use the throw pillows if your dolls are slightly taller than 1/6 scale.

Here you can see the square contoured back pillows.

"Honey, how do you like my new nightie." (Racquel)
"It's nice.  Come closer so I can examine it further." (Terrance)

"Closer...." (Terrance)

"That's better.  This is sooo much better than being in the office."  (Terrance)
"Well I sure hope so, or I'm losing my touch."  (Racquel)
"You are definitely not losing your touch." (Terrance)

"Have I told you how much I love you today?" (Racquel)
"Yes, but I love hearing it, so feel free to tell me again." (Terrance)
****Wahhhh****
"She can't possibly be awake already." (Terrance)
"Give me about 10 mins.  She just needs a paci and a little back rub and she will fall right back to sleep.  Don't move." (Racquel)

"So where were we?"  (Racquel)
"That was quick and see I didn't move." (Terrance)

"I'm going to get a night cap.  Would you like one before we take this to the other room." (Terrance)
"Sure.  A night cap would be perfect." (Racquel)

I sure am glad they are moving off my new sofa.  They look so good on it, I may just have to make them one.  But this one is for sale in my Etsy shop.

  2. I am loving that couple. I picked up those Spa liv dolls at Walmart for 8.90 just for the robes and the dresses too. I have the same two as you. But my girls consider the "S" to mean Sexy and the "D" to mean Diva. :D I love the nighty and it looks as if her husband does too. I am loving the couch too it's great!

    1. April - Great price. I haven't seen them at my Walmarts. I've seen them at several other Ross' but never in the doll section. Always near the linens. I like Sexy and Diva. Don't know why I didn't think of that. Terrance is ready for the nightie to come off. I gave her more time in the nightie by making them stay in the living room longer. LOL!

  4. LOL, Oh my gosh, I just had the dirtiest thought when I read that you were glad they moved off the sofa. No one wants to buy a sofa with a love stain on it.

    Beautiful sofa and dio.

    1. Hey It's Muff - LOL! Hilarious! I just didn't want them getting too comfortable. They could have spilled their drinks. Or fell asleep and drooled on the cushions. You just never know.

    1. Kenya - I have had a couple of visitors so far. I had to put a handsome guy in the link up. Darius and Nikki are still on vacation, so I picked the next best thing, Terrance! You know I had my Christopher book money all ready last week, then I stopped by Ross'. Big mistake! Racquel is wearing one of the outfits from one of dolls I bought with your book money. But isn't it a cute outfit! Never fear, I am getting my Christopher book sooner than you think.

  8. LOL! This is just too freaking cute! Absolutely love the concept! Dolls with a story! As for the sofa...I would like this for my own house. I'll definitely keep you in mind when shopping for my nieces. My daughter has kinda grown past this phase in her life. She still plays with the American Girl dolls. Mostly, to style their hair change the clothes.

    1. Tee-iabo Designs - Thanks for stopping by! Believe it or not, there are over 100,000 adult doll collectors. Most of us still play with our dolls. I am 43 and my world is filled with dolls. So if you run across any adult doll people, let them know that I am here. When I start making adult furniture, I will look you up. LOL!

  10. Hello from Spain: I love the first photo of Racquel and Terrance resting on the new sofa. I was very real. You're right that the pillow-top are very Ralph Lauren. It is one of my favorite designers in Spain but her clothes are quite expensive. The gown looks very provocative Racquel … I love how you and your colleagues are working the wood. I encourage you to make a wooden house for your Barbies. It would be great. Take this opportunity to congratulate the winner of the Easter basket, Carissa MRS. I hope she enjoys your creation.
    keep in touch.

    1. Marta - Thanks! Ralph Lauren items are very expensive here, too. That gown is from the Sophie LIV Spa doll set. It comes with a cute little flannel robe, too. Wooden Barbie house would take up too much space. I am running out of space. LOL! I am looking forward to making little wooden things.
