Rod Confronts Melanie (.Video)

I've been ticked with Melanie the past day or so.  Because of her antics, I had to do an unplanned video.  Doesn't she know I have a lot to do with this wedding coming up?  Anyway, this is the best I can do under the circumstances.  Her office is a tad bit incomplete.  I would have had her shelf a little more stocked had I known this was coming.

    1. Same here. I was afraid things were going to get ugly. I hope Rod offered Melanie enough reassurance that his new life won't interfere with her relationship with Nicole.

    2. Verona - Melanie wasn't used to running around doing all those things with Nicole. I'm sure she was worn out.

    3. DBG - I'm glad to. Nicole not making the wedding would have altered the whole tone of the day. I would have been pitching Melanie out some window. All the work I've put into this wedding! Child, please. You guys would have been wondering, "what happened to Melanie". The next event at the church would have been a funeral.

  2. Good video, I could understand both side of the situation! I think we all know for a fact that Nicole will be spending more time with Rob and Dani because well because she has 2 new brothers and that cool! I think Melanie knows and feels Nicole would not be around a lot because of that! On the other hand you can't keep Rob from seeing daughter hope Melanie keeps seeing Tina!

    1. Ebony - Melanie didn't care that Nicole wasn't around as much until Danielle entered the picture. Even though Rod technically gets a week during the month, Nicole always spent more than that week with her dad because a lot of times Melanie was working late or traveling. So it really wasn't about the time Nicole wouldn't be spending with her, it was about the time she would be spending with Danielle.

    1. JessikaJ - There still aren't plans for Nicole to move in. Even when Melanie and Rod were married, he was acting as the primary parent while supporting his wife in her quest for partnership at the law firm. So even though on paper he only gets 1 week a month, Nicole tends to spend more than that with her dad. Melanie, up to this point, was very relaxed about the visitation schedule. I was a stepmom who helped raise 5 kids, who lived with their father long before I got there. I am a strong proponent of making blended families work. Most parents are only concerned about hurting the father or mother of the child. They rarely take into consideration what is best for the child.

    2. mustiwait - I had no plans to do this video, but after some of the comments and anger directed at Melanie, I knew I couldn't just leave it hanging. I do feel Melanie's pain. It is a pain that a lot of parent's feel when there is another woman or man in the child's life. What needs to happen soon (but not before the wedding), is a meeting between Melanie and Danielle.

  7. As usual I am blown away by all the little details in your sets. Did you make the zebra chairs in Melanie's office? It was really neat to see her in her work space.

  8. limbe dolls - Thanks! I bought the zebra chairs from Hobby Lobby about 8 yrs ago. They used to be photo frames with plastic sleeves attached to the seat backs. You can tell she feels comfortable in her office. I have to find her a good man. She is just as difficult as Halle when it comes to a man for her. She has such high demands. If all she wanted was a good man, she would have kept Rod.

    1. Tracy - Thanks! So nice to hear from you. Hope all is well. As you know, we miss you to pieces. The blog world isn't the same without you. Hope you can make the wedding. In case you haven't seen it yet, different bloggers are dressing dolls and sending them to the wedding, via my Facebook page. I'm sure they would all love to see someone from Dolls In/And The City. (I always mix up In and And in your title. Probably because I never got Sex In the City right either.
