Antoinette Did A Little Cooking

Antoinette had to pay up for giving Tony 'kid duty' on his Friday off.  Nikaya's sleepover was a success, so she didn't mind do a little something special for her husband.  Tony loves Chinese food, so Antoinette made him lo mein and egg rolls for his special dinner.  She was kind enough to make extra and put them in my Etsy store.

Aren't they just too cute?  I guess they forgot to light the candle.

With 3 kids they don't get to have too many dinners alone.

This morning Antoinette threw down on some homemade buttermilk biscuits.

I am still figuring out how I will offer these.  I think I will offer them multiple ways.  I like them in the basket, and since I made the basket, I can offer it almost as shown, but will a better fabric lining.  Then maybe I will offer 6 on a plate, or maybe just 6 without a plate.  Suggestions would be appreciated.

A woman and her biscuits.  I wonder how many she has eaten so far?

She is eating alone this morning.  The kids are still sleeping and Tony is still knocked out after she gave him his second "Thank You for keeping the kids on Friday fight night" gift.

  2. Glad to see a vegetarian offering. The biscuits also look very tempting. They just need some blackberry preserves.

  3. william - Thanks. I have been hungry all morning after making those biscuits. My wholegrain, no taste, toast just didn't do the job.

limbe dolls - I am with you on the preserves. I may offer a biscuit with preserves on a small plate in the near future.

  4. Looks good, even to someone who does not share Tony's taste for Chinese food.

Again, your talent ceases to amaze me. Truly.

  5. DBG - You would think Tony would have wanted a big Texas size steak, but surprisingly no. Not this time anyway. What kind of food do you like?

  6. I don't have a particular favorite food, there are just certain foods that I have not developed a taste for or that I do not eat because of the ingredients.

I watch my sodium intake. I do not eat pork. I eat very little red meat. What I do eat is lots of non-scavenger fish, poultry (mostly turkey), and most all vegetables, fruits, and nuts. My vices are coffee and certain cookies and other sugary snacks that my body does not need but my mind tells me I want.

But I'm not picky at all.

    :-)

  7. Hello from Spain: the ideal dishes and homemade cookies. I love cookies in the basket. Very good food and best breakfast at home. Just see the cookies I get hungry and I picked up a package. I read your post of April 3 this year on porcelain dolls like babies. What a wonderful job. I never get tired of clapping your creations. Congratulations for making babies seem real.
