We are going orange!

Going orange is nothing like going green, but I will go orange every day if it looked like this.  This is another one that I wouldn't mind having in one of my houses.  There are a couple more pillow combinations offered, but I think this is my favorite. You can see the other options on the Etsy listing.  Currently available in my Etsy store.

I am currently working on an Accent Chair and Ottoman made from the multicolored fabric.

This poor child has been working overtime since she arrived.  She is probaably wishing she had landed in a household where she could just hang out and not work so hard.  The baby had to sit out of this shot.  Something about child labor laws.

  2. Chynadoll - Thanks. It's such a nice warm color. BB 2.5 threatened to stop modeling for me if I didn't make her a sofa soon. I bought some time by telling her it would be best for her and her husband to decide on the new sofa.

  3. I want this sofa for my real apartment!!! I love this sofa...and that middle accent pillow is gorgeous. I'm getting there, slowly but surely. Just a few more other doll related items and I'm coming to your Etsy for a sofa.

    Very nice!!

  4. Tracy - Thanks. I can't do it in big people size, but I have plenty of this material. So when you are ready, if this the the one you like, I can accomodate you and your dollies. I had the base sofa completely made, took it to my favorite no-name fabric store, and I couldn't believe the multi colored fabric was there waiting for me. It was so meant to be. I can't wait to see what it looks like in an accent chair. That will be finished before the weekend is over.

  5. This is beautiful. It reminds me of the fabric in my mother's 1970s sofa that she had refinished in a burnt orange woven fabric during the 1980s or 90s, I think. It was originally black faux leather with a heavy wooden base that has intricate designs in the wood. Wooden coffee tables match the base of the sofa. I'll have to share a picture of it with you, although you won't be able to see the base.

This fabric almost my favorite color (peach) and makes me want to buy it even though I don't typically buy furniture for my dolls. Hmmm...

  6. The multi-colored orange print is so nice, maybe it would look good in a small accent piece.

  7. DBG - So glad my sofa took you back down memory lane. I don't remember even one sofa that we had when I was growing up. I would love to see the picture. If you let my dolls tell it, I don't buy them furniture either! I think I heard the words "hand me down" under their breath.

limbe dolls - Thanks. That accent piece you speak of is 85% complete already. It will be posted in the next couple of days.

  9. DBG - At least she knows it was a well onstructed sofa. I don't know why I am laughing. My sofa is 11 yrs old, and it will probably be with me for another 10+. It has barely been sat on, since I don't get a lot of company.

    1. Vernette - Hello. Please don't go crazy! I am happy to hear my site has inspired you to make your niece some nice items. Unfortunately, my attention span is way too short and my project list is way too long, to do tutorials. The queen of tutorials is MyFroggyStuff. She recently did a tutorial on how to make a sofa. It's not like this one, but it would probably help you make something really nice for your niece. Thank you for following my blog. Are you posting pictures of your creations anywhere? I would love to see them.
