Dasia wanted a new party dress. I had everything on hand to make her a red lace dress with a full skirt and ribbon belt. I'm not sure where she has to go that she needed such a dress, but I'm sure she'll find some shindig to wear it to.
I went back to Mister Dollface website to look for one of my grail dolls, and she was there!
This is Raindrops and Roses Lizette. She was originally sold for $189 as a dressed doll. I got her nude for $69 on MisterDollface.com. I've been eyeing Lizette dolls since last year. She is about 16" tall. I think I'm going to use her to practice making some crocheted/knitted outfits first. Then I will make her some cute regular clothes. If you want to see her in her original outfit, check out the link below.
Perhaps Dasia needs her party dress because she's going to be attending a lot of charity/community events for a cause? The red implies leadership, and she should have experience and vim to contribute.
ReplyDeleteSmaller Places - That's a really good idea. Maybe she is heading up a charity for heart disease for women. You just presented me with a new story. Thanks.
DeleteCongratulations on getting Lizzette! I think I like her face the best of the whole Ellowyne line.
ReplyDeleteBarb - Isn't she the cutest? I'm excited to have her here at last.
DeleteDasia's new party dress is beautiful! I think it would be perfect for a charity event for heart disease. Or maybe to attend some big event that the mayor is putting on. :-)
ReplyDeleteCindi - Thanks. Maybe she will be invited to President Obama's going away party. This dress would definitely work.
DeleteDasia looks wonderful in her new red dress. I'm sure she feels like a queen! Congrats on getting your holy grail doll!
ReplyDeleteapril - Thanks! She is quite happy with her first official party dress.
DeleteDasia's dress is lovely.
ReplyDeleteLizette is gorgeous! I was bitten by the Lizette bug after the first one was released and have added five more since then. I have a couple of knit fashions purchased from an eBay seller before her prices escalated. I look forward to seeing your crocheted pieces.

DBG - Thanks. I've been wanting a Lizette for awhile, but couldn't swing those prices. I can swing $69! She is a beauty and I'm excited to see she and Tonner's 16" ladies are similar in body stature and with a few minor adjustments can wear the same clothes. FYI, I just posted my second Lammily test garment. Woohoo!
