My Second Crocheted Piece

Well here is the second item I've crocheted.  I'm pleasantly surprised at how it turned out considering I was winging it.  Winging it is so much more fun than making and/or reading patterns.  I have NO intention on selling any crocheted items, but it will be nice to make pieces for my dolls.

    1. Muff - This piece is done well enough to sell, unlike the first piece. And it didn't take me long to do it....and it gives me something fun to do every week that I'm sitting at the doctor's office. We will see.

  7. It is a colour that really suits her and it does look good. There are going to be a lot of other jealous dolls at your place.

    1. Carricters - Who knew hot pink was her color? Although the Barbies don't get custom pieces, they will get crocheted pieces. There will be a few more smiles. The beauty of crocheting and knitting is you can do it anywhere, unlike sewing.

  8. Hi Vanessa!
Great piece and great job! A little tip - when making doll clothes, it's better to use fine (2), or extra fine (1) yarn. Anything heavier tends to make the piece too bulky. Crochet thread (10) is good to use, but it's a pain in the butt. :-)

    1. Cindi - Thanks. My first piece was done with #10 crochet thread. I actually enjoy using that size. I bought about 6 size #10 and two size #8. I intentionally picked this slightly larger size for Dasia.

  10. Hola, qué bonita ropa, ojalá pudiera conseguir una así. Tienes una linda colección, tanto de muñecas como de accesorios. Por cierto, tienes un p'remio en mi blog Una barbie en casa.
    Saludos, hasta pronto.

  12. Sweet. My great grandmother used to crochet outfits for my Barbies and she could whip it it up so quickly! I wish I had pictures.
