Dasia's New Skirt

Dasia has left Harold in the warm bed.  She's meeting friends for brunch.

She checks out her outfit in the mirror.  She's not quite happy with it yet.  She loves her new skirt, which she has paired with her white button down, but something is missing.
"Babe, I thought we were going to spend the day together."  (Harold)

"Isn't it funny how you only want to spend the day with me after I make plans with my friends?"  (Dasia)
"That's not true."  (Harold)
"I won't be out long.  We can do something together later."  (Dasia)
"I guess Benji and I will watch some college football."  (Harold)
Dasia returns her attention back to her outfit.  She decides a belt and a scarf will help.

Her final look with her new checked skirt.   She's made a note to add more scarves to her wardrobe.  She just didn't have enough options.  She would have preferred a pop of color.  This will work fine for her brunch with the ladies.  She also needs to work on getting some black heels.

Time to go.  Don't want to keep Roberta and the other ladies waiting.

There are NO plans to offer this skirt in my store.  However, there is enough material for one more skirt if someone is interested.  I will be making a black top to go with this skirt.  My original thought was a turtleneck.  I'm not completely sure of the style, yet.

    1. april - Thanks! That white shirt sure comes in handy in a pinch. I guess that's why they refer to it as a wardrobe staple.

    1. Leandra - Thanks. Most of my material comes from a local discount fabric store that constantly turns over their stock. Every few weeks they have lots of new fabrics. I also buy from Hancocks because I can find interesting fabrics there. More than I can at JoAnn's.

    1. Brenova - Lol. You are right, but Dasia will always make time for her honey. It might not be all the time he thinks he wants, though.

  4. Dasia looks nice in her black and white checkered skirt (a form of plaid, according to fashion guru, Joe Zee, of the FABLife with Tyra Banks, where all hosts except Chrissy Tiegen recently dressed in plaid because it's now one of the hottest fashion trends).

Dasia is one up-to-date, fashionable diva with curves, thanks to you.

    1. DBG - Thanks. Sometimes I catch FABLife in the wee hours of the morning. I missed the plaid show. Glad I can be on trend and not even realize it.

  6. Dasia looking great as usual. :) Now all she needs is a good pair of shoes (and maybe a pink scarf, but the grey one works too).

    1. Anderson's AP - Thanks. Good pair of black heels. But now that I think about it, her silver heels would have probably worked with that outfit. I was supposed to make her some scarves a while ago. Hopefully soon. With fall upon us, those scarves will come in handy.

    1. Carrickters - Thanks. Speaking of her lady friends, Roberta will be there and I know she will NOT be happy that Dasia has yet another piece of clothing, I keep promising Roberta some new outfits. I need to get on that.

  9. Dasia is rocking it once again! She looks super cute in that skirt and it looks great with that blouse and scarf. I found some black flats that work for Dasia at Miniwoo. They are the Monchhichi S MCC Hujoo Berry Yomi Taeyang Boy 1/6 bjd Doll School Shoes. I bought some black heels too, but can't find the source for them again. If I do, I will let you know.

    1. Phyllis - Thanks! Thanks for the shoe info. I'm really working on getting her some black heels. Her silver heels probably would have looked nice with that outfit, but I didn't think about it at the time. There is a good chance I will just order another pair of the silver strappys and paint them black.

    1. Sue W - Congrats on getting your dolls! Sorry to hear about the hair. I saw another person had that same problem. As for shoes, read my post on shoes. http://vansdolltreasures.blogspot.com/2015/04/shoes-and-skirt-for-dasia.html

Caution, even though you can still get the gold and silver shoes I show in my post, the shoes are a slightly different design and they may be a little bigger than my shoes. You may want to try a size 8, which is SMALLER than my shoes. For this shoe, the bigger the number, the smaller the shoe. Good luck!

  12. She looks fabulous. I'd top it off with a wide red belt for a color pop.
