Dasia got a new pair of red jeans last night. She wanted a new top, but I just didn't have time. So she took to her FULL closet this morning to see what she already has that can go with them. These red pants are in the Etsy store. The lime green ones will be listed as soon as I take a few more pictures.
Yesterday I also finished the custom two piece black knit outfit. Dasia had a great time trying it on. She has requested something similar, but with a full turtleneck.
This is a bad picture, but I couldn't retake it since the outfit is packed and ready to ship. Dasia just wanted to show it accessorized a little.
Aww sookie, sookie. Dasia has got it goin' on!
ReplyDeleteKMQ - Lol. She does try. She's trying to be hipper as she gets older.
DeleteDasia is well dressed. The other women are going to be jealous soon.
ReplyDeleteJanainah - Too late. The other ladies are already jealous.
DeleteLOL @KMQ's comment.
ReplyDeleteGo on, Dasia. She seems to beam a little more each outfit she models.
D7ana - She's been beaming a lot lately. She has me thinking I want to sew some outfits for myself.
DeleteLove the red pants and the two-piece fashion is very stylish.
ReplyDeleteI must warn that if some fabrics "bleed" as in the case of some dark fabrics, the color will fade the BBDs vinyl. This happened to my nude Dasia. It was caused by a pair of red crew socks that I used to make a sock dress and also by black acrylic paint that I used to paint the elastic on the straps of sandals I made for Dasia. Fortunately, I noticed it in time and was able to remove the staining with Oxy-10. I wrote a post about it here.

Actually the staining on my doll's back was caused by a black headband that I used to make a shrug for Dasia. But I think because of it, I was and still am cautious about using the red sock dress I made for her.

DBG - Thanks. I am fully aware that any dark fabric can cause staining on any of the dolls. I've started including a warning that says prolonged wear could cause staining. I do prewash all the fabrics, and the dark ones get washed several times. My nude Dasia came to me with skin issues. She has a pinkish/reddish tint all over. Just curious, did you wash your headband and socks prior to using them?
DeleteNo, I didn't wash prior to using because I didn't realize there would be a problem beforehand. It is good that you are prewashing and including a label warning. Boiling the fabrics might help release the excess dye, too.
DeleteThis comment and my blog post was to forewarn what is a possibility of happening to the porous vinyl of the BBDs when dark fabrics are used.

You need to get over here and design some clothes for me to wear. Dasia is having all the fun!
ReplyDeleteMuff - Let me tell you how good Dasia is....I'm thinking about making me a new wardrobe. I never sew for myself, but I don't even have red pants. I agree, she is having way too much fun. I need to join her.
DeleteDasia is the new model of Morristown. Halle definitely will not like that! Lol! I love the red pants with the black and white top. Very nice! She is wearing that black two piece very well!
ReplyDeleteGeorgia Girl - Halle who? Oh yeah, the skinny chick. LOL! Halle still has work. It's just not in town. I will get her back on the j-o-b soon.
DeleteLook at all those awesome clothes! I love the red paints -- I could do with a pair for myself, honestly -- and the jacket with the zipper made me squeal. Adorable!
ReplyDeleteSarah - Thanks. I'm thinking of making myself some red pants. Dasia's wardrobe is outgrowing mine, and that just isn't cool.
DeleteHello from Spain: Dasia is very trendy. She has more clothes than me. I envy. Red is my prefer color. I love her red pants. Keep in touch
ReplyDeleteMarta - Dasia likes being trendy, and she loves getting new clothes. She has more clothes than me, too. I need to do something about that.
DeleteThe black outfit is really nice. It is a younger look!
ReplyDeleteMs. Leo - Thanks. My client has a Dena and really wanted that young vibe.
DeleteI enjoyed seeing all the outfits. I'm sitting her getting ready to sew the snaps of the outfit I sewed up of Rita and Mrs. Dotson.
