More Kid Clothes

I have two more dresses ready to go.

Dress #2

Dress #3

This will not be an outfit.  Can't have a sleeveless top with these heavy pants.  There will either be a long sleeve shirt of the striped material and these pants, or shorts made of a different material and this shirt.

This ill fitting shirt is just to demonstrate some cute fabric I found.  There will be a better fitting shirt and possibly a dress from this fabric.  I love stripes.

I started the boy outfits.  I made the sleeves way too long on this jacket and the pattern needs a little adjusting.  This sweatshirt has elastic in the waist.  I really wish I had a small enough zipper.  That would be really cool.

The brown pants from above actually fit Darren, who is a little bigger than the SIS kids.

  1. Hey, how about a hoodie from the brown fabric to go with the pants? You could still have the shirt with it too. It would look like a little sweat suit. And I know they don't use strings most of the time now, but how about little strings in the hood for realism? They wouldn't have to really do anything, but it would look cute. As for a tiny zipper, that would be cool! I dream of tiny stuff like that too.Maybe you could just sew a fake fly in the pants.

    1. Tam - Thanks for all your suggestions. I will take them into consideration. I am thinking of putting mock strings on some of the jackets because I think that would be cute, too.

  3. Awww...more cute stuff. Have you gotten around to deciding on a price point for these? I need to start setting aside a few dollars to purchase some clothes for the kiddos.

    1. Jewell - My goal is to offer them at affordable prices. I'm trying to keep dresses and simple outfits in the $7 - $8 range. Jean outfits may be a smidge more. If people just want pants, they will be in the $3 - $4 range.

  4. I love the first 2 dresses! They are so cute and my kiddos would love to have them! I also like where you are going with the other outfits. The gray sweatsuit is looking good. I remember a site called "Tiny Zippers" that sold just that, tiny zippers for doll clothes. Not sure if she is still out there.

    1. Phyllis = Thanks! Dresses will probably get listed early next week. Don't worry. There will be more than one available for each. I have a source for tiny zippers and I bought some not too long ago. Unfortunately the zippers for jackets are still too big for this size.

    1. LIsa - Thanks! I always think it's strange when companies produce dolls but no extra clothes for them.
