The Ladies are Finished (Photostory)

Racquel, Angelica, and Faith are calling it a night.  They've worked hard to get Ni'Chalet's ready to open.  Racquel still has a few things to do to make it pretty, but she is not delaying the opening any longer.  She paid extra to have the chandelier installed today.  The real store signage is due to arrive in a few weeks.

"Thank you guys so much for helping me today.  I owe you big time.  Now all I have to do is let the town know we are open for business."  (Racquel)

"How do you plan to do that?"  (Angelica)
"Well, tonight I'm going to do an email blast to my previous customers and send out a message on Facebook and Twitter.  I had flyers made that I just have to get out there. I'm thinking about advertising on the local radio show.  We'll see."  (Racquel)

"Faith, do you think you could post some flyers around campus?"  (Racquel)
"Sure.  I've already told my friends you were going to be opening soon."  (Faith)

Racquel finishes putting her shoes on, puts Shay on her back, and they all head out.  It's no longer raining and a little muggy outside, so she leaves her raincoat in the back.
"If it wasn't so late, I would treat you guys to dinner to thank you.  We'll plan to do something next week.  I have to get Shay to bed, so I can get some more work done."  (Racquel)
"Dinner sounds nice."  (Angelica)
"Especially to a couple of broke college kids like us."  (Faith)
"Stop the madness.  You may be broke college kids, but mom would never let you guys go hungry."  (Racquel)

Racquel takes one more look at the store before she leaves.  She's so proud of herself.  She can't wait to tell her doubting husband that she's opening the store in a couple of days.  Something looks a little off, so she sets down her bag and umbrella to make a few changes.

After moving the mannequin and rearranging a few things on the table, Racquel takes another look.  She wants the ladies to see the handbag stand when they walk in the store.

"Uh, what are you doing?  We turned around and you weren't there."  (Faith)

"I'm sorry.  I just had change a few things."  (Racquel)
"Let's go.  It's late.  It will be here tomorrow."  (Faith)
"I know.  I know.  Let's go."  (Racquel)

Below are just a few shots of the store.

  1. Bravo, ladies! I like all of the displays (especially the purse stands) and the way you've incorporated the economical Sparkle Girlz bags in with the pricier ones.

    1. billa's dolls - Thanks. Having a store to display bags could be dangerous for all of us. Now I want to buy more. You could come pick up a few handbags to go with those awesome outfits you make.

  7. The shop is cute with all its details! Well done, Vanessa! Teehee I love how Raquel slumps on the chair; it really shows how exhausted she was. And the OCD-esque thing... I so can relate haha.

    1. Shasha - Thanks. I couldn't have done it with the ladies helping. They were all pretty beat. I think a lot of us can relate to that, "just one more thing" feeling. She still wasn't happy with the last change. Glad Faith came and got here.
