Barbie Style 2.0!

Happy Saturday to me!  It feels like my birthday, but it's not.  I never thought I would find the new Barbie Style girls.  But today I found three of them at my local Walmart.  And surprise, surprise, Walmart had them at the normal retail price, not the typical inflated Walmart price.  At first I was only going to get one, but I knew I wanted to buy four of the five dolls, and three of the four were right there in front of me.  I didn't want to risk waiting to buy them later, and not being able to find the ones I wanted.

My first choice was the Steffie mold.  I love everything about this outfit.  You can't really see the shoes, but they are red with a nude color heel and a cute red bow on top.   All the pieces are separate.  I chose not to debox her, because the box is not designed to easily remove the dolls and put back into the box.

The handbag is really cute.

The lace collar and the sunglasses complement each other.  Is it me, or are the heads back to normal size?

Here was my second choice.  Again all the pieces are separate.

My third and final choice.

I was pretty happy with my three dolls.  Of course Racquelle was nowhere to be found.  They did have the Artsy version, but my primary purpose for buying these dolls are the outfits and I prefer the chic outfits to Artsy's sporty outfit.

Artsy appears on the end.  I do like her hair and earrings, but with two Artsy's in my stories, I can't see adding another one.

When I got home I realized I had purchased the wrong size dog food.  Aargghh!  I have never done that before.  I went back and forth on deciding to just keep it, but once I saw the bag was NOT resealable, I knew I had to return it.  I hastily got back in my car and drove to a different Walmart to make the dog food switch.  Guess who was there waiting for me?!

Racquelle!  I did my cabbage patch dance right there in the aisle.

She wanted to be deboxed, so I obliged her.  They are killing me with the Racquelle dolls.  The real eyelashes make her stand out.  I can't add another Racquelle to the stories.  I have three in there already, but I am impressed with her.

Her tights are shimmery and her handbag is very soft, has a snap, and opens.

Here she shows off the separate pieces.

What a wonderful start to the weekend.

  4. Wow, congratulations with these great buys! The heads are definitely smaller than the old dolls, which is so much better! I love the sunglasses of these dolls, and the fact that Raquelle's handbag really opens :-). In our stores we still have the first dolls, I have two of them and love them. Mattel is back on a very good track with these dolls! Enjoy you Sunday and thanks so much for posting this <3.

  5. Congrats! I bought Raquelle this week, too but I haven't deboxed her. I stopped at the Stone Mountain store to get candy for a math lesson and they had all 5 ladies in stock. There was only one Midge and one Raquelle, though. I wasn't willing to risk not being able to find Raquelle later, so I brought her home with me. I plan to buy both Barbie versions eventually, and I recently posted about buying Nikki and using her as a body donor.

  15. Thanks to everyone who commented. I'm just excited to see nice quality clothes from Mattel. Of course my dolls really didn't need more clothes, but what the heck.

  17. Great buys. I have the entire collection -- couldn't pass it up. I love the clothes and some of the dolls have already become body doners, but some will remain intact.
