Parent Teacher Night (Photostory)

It's parent-teacher night and Adele is getting the classroom ready.  She is feeling quite comfortable in her new dress from AtelierniSasha (Etsy store).  She took advantage of the September sale they were having.

"Okay, this should do it."  (Adele to herself)

She takes a look around the room to see if she missed something.  Just then the door opens and China enters.

"Hey Adele.  How's it going?  You all set?"  (China)

"I'm all set."  (Adele)

"Good.  I thought I'd stop by to make sure, before I hit the road."  (China)
"Hit the road?  You're not staying?"  (Adele)
"No.  My boss doesn't want to pay overtime, so I told her I couldn't stay."  (China)
"I don't blame you."  (Adele)

"Well look at you with the snacks.  Did you make those?"  (China)
"Yes.  Just something I threw together."  (Adele)

"I didn't know you bake."  (China)
"I try not to let that out, and I try not to do it too often."  (Adele)

"You know those brownies are calling my name, but I am going to be good and not even go there."  (China)
"I've already eaten a brownie while I was putting everything out."  (Adele)

"Did you want me to run out and get you something to eat?"  (China)
"No.  Mike is bringing me something for dinner.  I wanted to see Sydney, too, since she will be in bed by the time I get home."  (Adele)
"Okay.  Well I'm going to boogie out of here.  I hope everything goes well.  I will see you tomorrow."  (China)

Adele says goodbye and China heads to the door.  Before she gets there, Mike and Sydney enter.

"Hello Mike!"  (China)
"Hello China."  (Mike)

"Hi honey.  Thanks for bringing me dinner."  (Adele)
"No problem."  (Mike)

"Hello punkin. *loud kissing sounds*.  Have you been good for daddy?"  (Adele)
"Here.  I brought you a gyro."  (Mike)
"Great.  I'm starved."  (Adele)

"It smells wonderful. That Greek place has the best food."  (Adele)

"Did you and Sydney eat already?"  (Adele)
"Not yet.  I  figured I'd stop by McDonalds on the way home and let her play on the playground."   (Mike)
"Well she's probably hungry.  She can have my fries."  (Adele)

Adele takes the food out of the bag.

"French fry."  (Sydney)
"Yes sweetie.  My baby is hungry."  (Adele)

Mike and Adele catch up on their day, while Adele eats her dinner.

We will return to see how Adele's meeting with the parents go.

This is the beautiful packaging my AterlierniShasha dress arrived in.  I didn't want to open it, it was so pretty.

Inside was just as beautiful.  Thanks Shasha!

  1. The Classroom looks amazing ! I love the whiteboard idea ! Is it supposed to be a promethean board or just a white board? Where did you get the desks from ?

    1. Madison - Thanks! It's just a white board. Those promethean boards are nice. The desks are part of a Barbie classroom playset. Some are from my original set and some I bought from ebay.

    1. DBG - The handwriting on the front of the envelope was so good it looked like it was done by a machine. For a minute I thought it was junk mail. Mike had a plan. He really wants to tire Sydney out at McD's so he will have an easier time putting her to bed.

    1. Ms. Leo - I have a chalkboard that size, too, but liked the white board better. I like to support other Etsy bloggers when I can. I have been stalking her shop for over a year. It was time for me to take the plunge, and I just love stripes.

  8. As the daughter of a teacher Adele's classroom brings back fond memories. When Sydney gets bigger she can help cut out decorations for the bulletin boards. :-)

  10. This is one of those posts where I said wow all the way through on the details. Her classroom looks excellent. Where do you get all the little stuff from- like the desks. Did they come in a bag set or what? Love the dress and the packaging it came in.

    1. Kenya - I've been wanting to do some school stories for quite some time. This classroom has been waiting for a lot of months. Glad you like it. Back in the 90s, Mattel produced several classroom sets that come with kid desks and a desk for the teacher. By the way, did you see the previous Halle post?

    2. Kenya - I forgot to mention, the back school wall is from a Dora set I bought a couple years ago. The two standing black boards came from Dora sets, too.

This dio is one of my permanent ones. I just haven't been able to get to telling the stories, like I would like. Hopefully this is the start.
