The Taylors recently arrived at Rod's cabin. They are trying to get everything situated.
"Honey, why did you bring so much stuff?" (Rod)
"I wanted to make sure we had enough for the kids to eat. You know how they like to snack." (Danielle)
"They are going to be so busy they won't have time for all this snacking." (Rod)
"I just like to be prepared." (Danielle)
Rod has already put up the tent for the girls.
He also put up the soccer net for the boys and gave them both balls to play with.
"Watch me and do what I do." (Julian)
As Julian gets ready to take his shot, Jacob falls on his ball.
"Score!" (Julian)
Jacob looks at the ball in the net.
The girls are chllin' in the tent. Nicole and Jessica are on one side.
Nikaya is on the other side.
"Mommy I've scored 5 goals." (Julian)
"That's great. Where's Jacob? You're supposed to be keeping him with you at all times." (Danielle)
"I know, but I wanted to tell you about my goals and he wouldn't come." (Julian)
Danielle decides to go move the goal closer to her.
"Right there is fine. Now I can see you guys better." (Danielle)
"Come on Jacob. Come on this side and play." (Danielle)
"You ladies are awfully quiet in there. You guys alright?" (Rod)
"We're good." (The ladies almost in unison)
"Daddy, we're thirsty." (Nicole)
"There's plenty to drink out here, but you guys have to come out and get it." (Rod)
The girls don't waste any time getting to the table.
"Your dad is going to be grilling some hotdogs soon, so why don't you guys just grab a drink and a small bag of chips." (Danielle)
"Can we have cookies, too?" (Nicole)
"You have to choose between cookies or chips. We're going to be here until tomorrow, so we can't eat all the food at once." (Danielle)
"Watch me, Daddy. I'm going to get it straight in. Move Jacob!" (Julian)
"Don't yell at your brother. Let him take a turn first, then you go." (Rod)
The girls take their drink and their chips back to the tent. At this rate, they may stay in this tent the whole trip.
Danielle gets all the groceries put away and then she makes a pot of tea. The boys are tuckered out from all the soccer.
"Do you remember the first time you came up here?" (Rod)
"How can I forget? That trip helped to shape our relationship." (Danielle)
"I just remember you not wanting to kiss me." (Rod)
"Can I come in?" (Julian)
"No boys allowed. Just kidding. Come in." (Jessica)
"Come with me." (Rod)
"Where are we going?" (Danielle)
"You can trust me now. We're married." (Rod)
"Can you believe it was almost a year ago that we laid on this same bed, discussing our wedding?" (Rod)
"Time sure flies." (Danielle)
"Now that we are coming up on our one year anniversary, and we are settling in to this family thing, what are your thoughts about expanding our family?" (Rod)
Julian and the girls are having a good time inside their cocoon.
This is the setup on my front lawn.
Epilogue:
1) Okay, Rod just threw me a curve ball. That last conversation wasn't planned at all. You guys know how tired I am of having a pregnant woman in Morristown. Maybe he meant adoption.
LOL, you wish. He totally meant he wanted to have one the old fashion way. Boom chicka boom! Morristown is bursting at the seams.
ReplyDeleteMuff - Hey, a sistah can dream, can't she? I can't believe they've been married about a year, now. Time is flying.
DeleteI think they should put a bun in the oven and yea I wonder wat the gone do 4 their 1yr
DeleteI think they should put a bun in the oven and yea I wonder wat the gone do 4 their 1yr
DeleteRayvion - Hello and welcome to my blog! Jacob is actually two years old. Let's hope Danielle is on the same page as Rod.
DeleteGah! One year in, and he wants to sow his seeds already LOL. A child would be lovely, but I hope they decide to wait a little more before they start sireing their own. And I can sympathize with the girls. Whenever I HAVE to go camping, I make sure to spend most of my time somewhere shady/bug free.
ReplyDeleteVerona - Do you know how many times I've been asked if they can have a baby? More than 50 people have sent YouTube messages and emails, asking when. You seem to be alone on this one. It's not unusual for a couple to start after a year of marriage, especially when there are already children in the picture. Danielle's not getting any younger, and it may be easier to conceive before she gets older.
DeleteCute. Cannot wait to see Danielle's reaction!
ReplyDeleteAG Lanc - I will be interested to see what she says, too.
DeleteYei! Another baby :D I also love to make outdoor setups.
ReplyDeleteV - Danielle didn't say yes, yet. It will be interesting to see what she has to say about it.
DeleteHello from Spain, great camping day. The kids really enjoy the outdoors. I have the same LVS 's kitchen. Great. Nice pics
ReplyDeleteMarta - Thanks. They are really enjoying the great outdoors.
DeleteOh. My. GOSH! Your accessories and extras are always the best! I LOVE those paper bags! I love their whole camping setup... man, it makes me want to go camping... but... you know, with a Mom and a Dad who will take care of all the details for me while I hang out in my super awesome pink tent. Hehehehe!
ReplyDeleteHeather - Thanks. Those paper bags are from Orcara miniatures. Each bag came with a different grocery set. I would love to go camping, too. It's one of those things I've never done before. Do they have Wi-Fi at camping sites. LOL!
DeleteRod and Danielle are very generous to bring all those kids with them on their camping vacation. As far as expanding the family, maybe Rod just found out he has an outside child he would like to know better. Danielle might enjoy having a little girl, though, since she has two boys and Nicole would probably love to have a little sister.
ReplyDeleteLove the soccer goal!
limbe dolls - It's actually Nicole's camping trip. Danielle and the boys are along for the ride. In the past, Rod and Nicole would do something special for summer. With the new family dynamics, this is what their trip looks like this year.
DeleteROFL about Rod having an outside child. Now wouldn't that be something!
limbe dolls - I forgot to say, I think that soccer goal was from a Dollar store, but I can't be 100% sure.
DeleteI love this scene! Looks like so much fun. Isn't it funny how dolls will just steer the conversation the way they want? I thought I was the narrator, my little plastic people!
ReplyDeleteVita Plastica - So that happens to you too? My little fingers just be typing away, and I hear myself asking them, "What are you doing? Those aren't my words."
Deleteoooh i knew rod was gonna ask that question! it would be nice for them to have a child!
ReplyDeletecoolsinger - I'm glad you knew, because I had no idea.
DeleteHello Vanessa, a very nice photostory. I would like to make a similar scene with my dolls, you always have good ideas!! :)
ReplyDeleteSee you soon!
Ana - Thanks. Glad you stories can help you with your scenes.
Deletewhoo! hoo! I hope they do Morristown is the perfect little fairy tale. On the other hand it would make a good story for them to adopt... staying tuned in
ReplyDeleteVernette McFadden - I would love to have someone adopt in my town. I even have the child all ready and waiting. I don't think it will be Rod and Danielle, though. When it comes to blended families, I think it's great when there is a child that is born of the two parents.
Deletevery cool camping story! Another baby on the way! Whoo Hoo!!! I say they should go for it!!! Love our set up. Very clever!
ReplyDeleteShould say love your set up LOL
DeleteChynadoll - Thanks. Whoa nelly, they are just discussing a baby. No one's pregnant yet.
Deleteya but we all know that discussions could lead to a baby in Morristown lol
DeleteMaybe if they adopt they should head to China, they have many girl orphans last time I checked that need a good home. That way Nicole could have a little sister. :)
ReplyDeleteLeandra - Thanks for visiting my blog! Believe it or not, there is an orphanage just outside of Morristown. I really would like to see someone in my town go through the adoption process. So many stories, so little time.
Deleteawwwww! Well then I hope Rod and Danielle will stop by there soon. It would be so cute seeing Danielle and Rod adopting a sweet little face deserving a good family. ^^
DeleteOf course they can have a baby year one... I hope they have one soon... would love to see how Melanie handles that one! ooh good idea LOL!
ReplyDeleteVernette - Oh, now you are just being messy. LOL! I wonder what Melanie would say, too. We may get a chance to find out.
DeleteOh. My. Goodness! I am adopted from Colombia and oh it would be so cool if they adopted! I was always wondering what it was like to adopt from a parent's point of view, like the hard parts they wouldn't have told me, ya know?
ReplyDeleteAdoption stories are never the same, and are all special in their own way. ;-)
Just let me know, maybe we might even hear from the birth family...
I love some good drama, what can i say? I'm a drama queen! ;D Seriouly though, you're such an a amazing writer and i know you have the capability to capture the emotion of the adoptee, birth family, and the parents.
Can't wait to see what happens!
Love,
~Cachetas
Cachetas - That is so wonderful! You have some great ideas here that I will consider when doing the adoption story. Again, I'm not sure it will be this couple, but there are other couples in town that are considering adoption.
DeleteWell. your dolls really know how to keep us interested. We'll all be waiting for Danielle's response (just like Rod). Looks like a fun campsite on your front lawn.
ReplyDeleteCarrickters - My dolls know how to keep me busy. I don't think they understand how their decisions affect my quality of life. LOL.
DeleteLovely story!! What a great setup!
ReplyDeleteRosemary Hill - Thanks! They are having a great time.
DeleteCamp that you organized is great ! I love to go camping! Yours looks great! Not miss any detail! Those packets of biscuits ... amazing!
ReplyDeleteFarbield - Thanks. I've always wanted to go camping. I still haven't done it.
DeleteI hope Danielle will be able to relax for the rest of the weekend. I don't think he's going to take no for an answer. LOL! Thanks for showing your set from a distance. NEAT! LOL to the girls - that would be me. Come out to get snacks only.
ReplyDeleteKenya - I don't think Rod will be trying to get his groove on out there. Not the best of baby making conditions. LOL.
DeleteOkay. Reading the first part of the camping story has clued me in on Danielle's question to Jacob in Julian's present post. I think it would be nice for Danielle and Rod to expand their family... later. They need to continue enjoying the newlywed period a little longer.
ReplyDeletedbg
DBG - Can you believe they've been married a year already? That went fast. Lots to think about. If they wait too late, they may have trouble conceiving. Take it from me, when there are kids already in the picture, the newlywed period lasts all of a couple of weeks, then it's back to reality. LOL.
