A New Restaurant, A Doll, and A Room

My Asian families haven't had much love, lately.  I am going to try to change that.  In this story you will meet a new PowerTeam guy.  He's been here for over a year, and he's now making his way out of the box.  He is the brother of the Asian dad, who has been seen in the Asian buffet restaurant.

This is the newest Japanese restaurant in town.  It has a sushi bar, intimate tables, and family style booths.  I just realized I didn't get a great picture of the beautiful Asian screen on the right.  I will get a better picture in the next story.

Kwon, co-owner of the restaurant is getting the sushi bar ready.  His son, Guiren, stopped by after his last class.

"So Dad, do you think you can talk Mom into letting Kim and I get a place off-campus?"
(Kim is Guiren's younger brother)

"Son, why this big push to move off-campus?  It was hard enough getting your mom to agree to even letting you live on-campus."  (Kwon)

"There must be a woman involved."  (Jaya)

Guiren shoots his cousin, Jaya, a look.  She is not helping with his cause.

"No, Jaya.  There's no woman involved.  I just need more space and I can't get that on campus."  (Guiren)

"Looks like we have customers.  They are a little early for dinner."  (Kenue)
"I got 'em."  (Jaya)

"Stop gawking, you two!"  (Jaya in a whisper)

"I guess we are a little early for the dinner crowd."  (Polly)
"Good.  That means we can get a great table."  (Martina)

Epilogue:
1.  This restaurant is in the same space the baby shower was in.  I swapped out the walls, moved around some tables, added a few details, and we now have an Asian restaurant.  Time to complete?  Less than 20 minutes.
2.  The next story will take place here, too.  I think this is the restaurant Darius and friends are headed to.  I also think we will get to meet Tori's father.  A few other people may stop by, too.
3.  In my efforts to downsize, I will be posting dolls that are going up for sale, at the end of upcoming posts.  Below is the next one up for sale.  It is the same doll I use for my Lisa doll.  She is being sold for the great price of $8 + S&H.  This price will increase over time, so get her while she's cheap.

4.  There's another little girl room story on the horizon.  I still have to put up a few pictures, but that won't take long.  Come back and see which little girl lives here.

    1. jewel snake - Thanks. When it comes to my Asian families, they are just Asian. I am not versed enough in the culture to break it down further. When it comes to naming some of the dolls, I will search on Asian boy or girl names to find something I like. Kim is the most popular surname in Korea. Kim for a boy is really an English name. I named my guy Kim because he reminds me of my ex-husband's brother, who is named Kim and married to an Asian woman. I have to use all the tricks I can to remember some of these names. I have so many dolls.

  4. Classy venue! I guess when Guiren saw Ian's place, he got the idea that maybe he should get one too. Ahh, guys. Always trying to one-up each other. I can't wait to which gal lives in that lovely room.

    1. Gracias.

  6. Guiren looks fine. I have never seen him before. Congrats on finding a new PowerTeam guy!

The new restaurant looks great. I like the space, the clean lines, and the artwork on the walls. Imagining the food show that will go on!

    1. D7ana - Thanks. Guiren is NOT a PowerTeam guy. The dad is the PT guy. I bought Guiren's head and added him to an action figure body. He and his brother are quite handsome.

  8. Did you down scale because that looks much smaller than the baby shower facility or maybe you are zoomed in and we cant see the whole thing?

The guys do look like they are drooling when the Poppys arrive.

    1. Muff - I think it's the color and the plants. The screen on the right does come in a little bit, though. We will see that better next time.

    1. limbe dolls - As I mentioned to D7ana, Guiren is not a PT guy. The father is. Guiren's head was purchased from Monkey Depot and added to a body I had on hand.

  10. Your Poppys do look like they are making a great impression - I wonder if they will be equally impressed. Your restaurant looks great and your bedroom - well, one little girl will be very lucky.

  16. Love your restaurant! It is amazing how you transformed the same space into something different. My problem is that I spend too much time creating one space. I guess if I was better organized, it wouldn't be so bad.

I like Gurien's face. I think I also have the PT guy or maybe I saw him and planned to get him. He can still be found at Big Lots.

Love your photo stories as always...so full of details!

    1. Georgia Girl - Thanks. I think it's hilarious that you don't know whether or not you have that PT guy. Sometimes you see pictures of a doll so often, you start thinking you own the doll. LOL.

    1. Kenya - It's is a complete makeover. My walls are easily changed out, which helps make this a quick process. Most of the chairs are the same that we saw at the baby shower.
