Sunni, the Realtor, Goes to Work

And you thought you weren't getting a story today.  If you recall, Sunni Lee is a Realtor.  She used to do it part time, but now she is much more involved.  With the new daycare opening up right across the way from her office, she can pop in and see Amaya, or take her home when she wants.   Chang is her husband's name and he is the silent owner of the brokerage.

It's Monday morning and Mia is fielding emails about Sunni's listings.  Mia is well versed in the real estate business and can handle a lot of the light duties.

"Morning, Mia."  (Sunni)
"Good morning, boss.  You got a walk-in this morning.  He's waiting in the conference room."  (Mia)
"Wow.  We love those walk-ins.  Give me a minute to get into the office and then send him in." (Sunni)
Note:  A walk-in is just an unexpected potential customer who happened to see your company and stop in.

Sunni makes her way to her office.  She is wearing an original dupioni silk suit from our resident fashion designer, Debbie.

As Sunni gets settled in, let's take a peek at her office.  It's a pretty typical real estate office.

Along the wall is her local realtor map of the area, her listing brochures, floor plans, etc.
Note:  All items were printed from the internet.  The Windows printing feature has a 'contact sheet' option and it makes the perfect 1/6 scale sized pages.

"Mrs. Lee?"  (Brad)
"Yes, come on in and have a seat."  (Sunni)
Brad and Sunni introduce themselves and shake hands.

"So Brad, can you give me an idea of what type home you are looking for?"  (Sunni)

Brad describes the home.  Sunni thinks she has the perfect place.  She gets up from her desk and goes to get a brochure.

"What do you think of this one?  It's almost identical to what you described." (Sunni)

"This is really nice.  It's exactly what I had in mind." (Brad)

"Can we go see it today?"  (Brad)
"Well, I have an appointment to show properties this morning, but I'm available around 2pm.  If you want to stop back, we can go take a look.  I'll pull up a couple more that we can go look at, too."  (Sunni)

Mike and Adele have arrived for their 10am appointment.
"Good morning.  How can I help you?"  (Mia)

"We are the Jordans and we have a meeting with Sunni."
"Yes, I have you here on the schedule.  She's finishing up with a client.  If you like you can wait in the conference room."  (Mia)

Mike and Adele get comfortable in the conference room.  This is where most of the Closings for Sunni's deals, take place.

"I sure hope we find one today.  We are cutting it close timewise."  (Mike)

"Honey, we shouldn't rush it.  This is a big decision and if we don't find something, we can just rent for a few months and take our time looking."  (Adele)
"I know you are right, but I don't function well when I'm not settled."  (Mike)

Just then Sunni enters the conference room.
"Mike! Adele!  So glad you guys made it."  (Sunni)

"Hello Sunni.  Thanks for letting us reschedule for today.  I was so exhausted from the wedding, that we just couldn't make it yesterday."  (Adele)
"I can imagine. Great job on the wedding.  Chang and I really had a great time.  Such a lovely wedding."  (Sunni)

Mike is smiling at Adele because he knows the real reason they couldn't make it yesterday.  And so do we.  I guess that morning romp at the hotel lasted a little longer than they expected.
"So let's go to my office.  I have some things prepared for you."  (Sunni)

Back in the office....
"It was probably a good thing we rescheduled.  It gave me more time to find properties that met your requirements."  (Sunni)

"That's great.  We are anxious to find something nice.  I would love to have a place before the big move.  Makes life a lot simpler."  (Mike)

Adele wants to chime in and reiterate what she said to Mike in the conference room, but she holds her tongue.  Mike knows her so well.  He looks over as if reading her mind.
"Honey, did you want to say something?"  (Mike)
"No.  I'm good."  (Adele)

"So, I put together a folder for you to take with us when we go.  This way you can keep notes on each property.  After awhile they all look alike.  This will help you keep things straight."  (Sunni)

"So here we have brochures and details on each property.  I also included the floor plans.  Do you have any questions before we go?"  (Sunni)

"I'm sure we will have questions later, but nothing right now."  (Mike)
"Okay.  Then let's go find you a home!"  (Sunni)

We will not be accompanying them to see the homes.  We will wish them luck in finding something really good.  There's no story preview this time.  I have too many stories ready to go and I don't know which direction we are headed.  There is a lot going on in Morristown!  Oh yeah, Adele is wearing an original design by me.  LOL!  Not as chic as Debbie's suit, but she's happy to have pants that fit those long legs of hers.

    1. Verona - Isn't that suit great? It was supposed to make it to Ni'Chalet's first, but Sunni snatched it up before Racquel could get over to Debbie's and pick it up.

  2. I wish them luck in their house hunting. I'm sure it will be a nice one once they find it. Btw, Adele and Sunni's outfits are very nice. I have yet to sew for the FR girls.

  6. So is where Brad is going, will he and Halle cross paths? At a coffee shop perhaps ;-) Adele's suit is sharp!

  7. Kenya - Were you drinking when you left this comment? Or did Brad have you all tongue tied? I am sure Brad and Halle will cross paths. Are the two of you trying to get into trouble?

  8. Hello from Spain: I like these earrings of Lee. The office is beautiful. I like the picture on the wall. The brochures you were very good. What nerves go find the ideal home ... I hope they find it. If I work on the estate for that family would teach them a house and garden with many rooms. Very light and several bathrooms. Keep in touch

  9. Amaya is the smaller girl, yes? Sometimes it's hard to understand. Here: http://vansdolltreasures.blogspot.com/2011/12/finally-using-that-awkward-frame-house.html you say, that it's Amaya, who is telling her dad about her day, but I think, it's Ming?

    1. Dukasha - Amaya is the smaller girl. With all the families and all the stories I keep in my head, I am bound to mess up occasionally. LOL! I am a lot better with not mixing up the names, but I will never be perfect. I refer to the character list when I need to. I guess when I did the previous story, I thought I didn't need to. Oh well. When you are confused, check the character tab.

    2. The problem is when I named the Asian kids, I got their names off the internet. There is no actual reference to these kids from my real life like there is with the majority of my dolls. So there's a chance they will be mixed up again in the future. I apologize in advance. I like the pictures of your Asian dolls, but what is up with the naked pictures that came along with it? I was not prepared for that.

    3. Oh, I'm sorry for the naked pictures. When I checked the link before posting it, there was nothing else except of my kids photo. I've looked just now and also saw all that disgusting other pictures. I checked again in the other browser I use and saw nothing, just the kids. I checked again here and also saw nothing. It's strange. I usually show my pictures in "img" tags, so it's no need to visit any other pages and I had no idea, that such thing could happen. I'm sorry again. Now, when you've seen my kids already, I can delete my previous comment with the "bad" link. Well, I've done it already.

    4. Cukasha - That was very strange. I've never seen that happen before. So back to your kids. They were all adorable. I missed out on getting the smallest baby you have. I've seen it a couple times on Ebay. What a cutie?

    5. She is really wonderful. :) It's the asian Krissy from the set with Barbie, which was never available in stores, but people, who adopted kids from China, received it as a gift. She is rather rare and expensive, but I'm so crazy about collecting doll kids 1:6, especially the unusual ones (AA, asian, Native American and so on), that I'm always ready to pay for something rare if I'm able to find money for it. Really I should overcome my laziness and show my dolls more often. I have so many of them...

  10. Go Mrs. Sunni Chang with the new fancy threads. We know Adele - as a Fashion Royalty doll - will keep well-dressed. Go 'head, ladies. Go on with your well-dressed selves.

I like Mike's smile at Adele - he looks like he's smirking. I can almost see the "memory" in his eyes, lol.

Love the realtor office, too. The mini brochures, etc. make for an impressive setting.

    1. D7ana - I need to stop spending money and time on their outfits and work on my own wardrobe. They are putting me to shame. Mike is definitely smirking. That sly devil.

  11. Thanks for mentioning the red power suit. It looks really nice on Sunni especially with her long dark hair. I know what you mean about spending less time and money on the dolls wardrobes and spending more time on our own. I purchased fabric about a month ago to make myself a sundress for the summer....it's going to feel like making a dress for a giant after making doll clothes for so long. Maybe that's why I haven't started. lol

    1. Debbie - Fabulous job on that suit. I wonder who will wear the brown and white one? I have a feeling that BIG sundress will never get made.

  13. I love Sunni's office! That A-framed house gets a lot of great use and it looks different every time. Brad's got me fannin' over here...he's a hottie!

I'm so excited for Adele and Mike. Can't wait for them to get settled in and have a night on the town or a couples dinner with friends. Hmm, maybe Mike will join Darius's golf group. ;)

    1. Tracy - OMG. You are my girl! You know Mike is an avid golfer. I totally forgot. So him and Darius out golfing would be really nice. I need to add lighting to the bottom of the A frame house, so I can get a lot more use of that area. Ian currently still lives there. I wonder how he and Raven are doing?
