Meanwhile Back at Hotel Monaco...

With all the guests that are headed to Morristown, I was a little concerned about not having enough food at the reception.  I alerted Adele to the potential problem and she jumped into action.

Paul is the head chef at Hotel Monaco.  He is taking a call from his boss, who announces she is on the way down.   Oh, this can't be good.

"Hey Paul.  So how are things going with the Taylor reception?"  (Lauren)
"We are doing well.  We are pretty much on schedule."  (Paul)

"Well, I hate to do this to you, but I just got a frantic call from the wedding planner and it seems like they need to add about 30 more people."  (Lauren)
"They need to do what!  There's just no way.  I can't prepare food for 30 more people." (Paul)
"I know it's a major inconvenience,  but we need to figure out something fast."  (Lauren)

Paul walks around the kitchen thinking.  Lauren isn't too far behind him.
"You know you are going to owe me big time if I pull this off."  (Paul)
"I wouldn't ask you if I didn't trust that you could work your magic."  (Lauren)
"You don't have to keep buttering me up.  I will figure out something." (Paul)
Lauren is elated.  She thanks Paul then heads back to her office hoping there isn't another crisis waiting for her.

Paul has been here for over a month now.  He's been hanging out with his wife and two kids.  No time to chat now.  He has to get back to work preparing more food for the out-of-town guests.  Can't wait to see you guys!

Lauren is wearing another wonderful outfit from Gabi-mates.  I have been meaning to share the whole outfit with you, but haven't gotten around to it.  It comes with an awesome vest coat, leather boots, and a leather handbag.

  3. That's it, I selling almost all my male dolls to get some Action Figures hotties because Paul had me stupid for a good 5 minutes! Where do you get your Figures from and clothes that fit them!

    1. Ebony - LOL! You poor thing. I mostly buy heads from either ebay, MonkeyDepot, and Cotswald Collectibles. Sometimes I go straight to the manufacturer's site who made the figure. Most AF can wear my Ken clothes. Paul is wearing a Dr. Ken jacket. On Ebay, there are sites that will have a category for AF clothes. The main difference is shoes. They can't fit the smaller Ken shoes.

    2. Ebony, here is a link to the full bodied action figure. I only bought his head from ebay because I knew I wanted to make him a little taller than the original figure.

    1. mustiwait - Paul is a master in the kitchen. Everyone will have plenty to eat. It's actually going to be buffet style, which makes it a lot easier to make such an adjustment. I love your new blog. Great photos. I hope we get to see a lot more blogging from you.

  5. You are really working it with these doors! You don't have to worry about feeding Tatiana. She doesn't like to eat when she's driving... has to make too many potty stops on the way back. 0.o

    1. Muff - I am a true recycler when it comes to my props. This was an unplanned scene, but necessary with all the new guests that are coming. If Tatiana can resist all the good food that is planned, more power to her. I for one, will be chowing down.

  6. Another great couple! Don't you just love that BB Jeans #04? She's such an exotic looking redhead. I really like Lauren too. I was thinking of her as my Cree's mother but I will probably go with the BB swim suit addition because they're still $19...

Can't wait for the next installment...

    1. Tracy - I do love BB Jeans #4, but for some reason I haven't bonded with mine completely. I think I may have to do a complete over haul on her. When I see her in other people's pictures, I just fall in love. I like Lauren now with the haircut. I got her for $17 from the Target sale. I think she is $21 - $21 normally. I just really wanted one of those red and white outfits, but decided to put her to work.

    2. I know what you mean, even though flickr photos ultimately played a hand in me purchasing her, it took me a while to bond with her too.

  7. Great-looking kitchen. Paul looks so serious. I know he'll be able to pull off preparing the extra food for the unexpected 30. (That Dr. Ken on his shirt in the last image through me for a loop, but I realize what happened.)

    1. dbg - Thanks. I have no doubt he will be able to pull it off. Thanks for alerting me to the last image. I will go fix that right now. I am seeing cross eyed over here, working round the clock to get everything done.

  8. Glad your chef is so good at handling extra pressure. But how about you - I'm looking at the time stamps on these comments - are you getting any sleep at all? You'll definitely need a holiday after this. If you have spare minutes, you can see my doll's adventures in getting ready on http://there'salwaysanotherdoll.blogspot.com/.

    1. Carrickters - I'm great at handling extra pressure. I've been an insomniac since I was 26, so working through the night is nothing new. I catch a few hours here and there. I can't get to your blog with that address. It says it doesn't exist.

    2. Sorry, Vanessa, I put an extra apostrophe in (so much for being grammatical). The correct address is:

  9. You get more work out of doors than anybody else I know! They are the church doorsa nd the kitchen doors thus far! You really worked those sliding doors too!

I love the kitchen and the chef! I can't wait to see the food and the waitstaff.

    1. Ms. Leo - When I made them I didn't have kitchen doors in mind, but I did have hospital doors and school auditorium doors in mind. Those sliding doors are going to show up in Aspen at the ski lodge, if I ever get back there to rescue Darius and Nikki.

Waitstaff? Oh goodness! LOL! There will be a buffet setup, and so many people there, I imagine we will only see glimpses of the waitstaff.

  12. Hello from Spain: I hope that Paul can rearrange the food for the 30 new guests. I love the redhead Barbie. I have her as well and is one of my favorites. She has a fantastic hair. Paul looks like a real man. You have a beautiful collection of dolls. Gaby-mates a few designs and beautiful shoes. Keep in touch
