Meet the Morettis and the First Sets of Twins

Penelope Moretti is the owner of the local bakery.  She has just set up the tasting room for her next appointment, which just happens to be Rod and Danielle.  Today is the day they select the wedding cake.  She wanted to take a moment to introduce her family.

Here is her family.  Her, oh so handsome husband, Donte, may look familiar to you.  That is because he has an identical twin brother, James, who took Halle to the New Year's party.  If you are thinking the name James isn't very Italian, you would be right.  James is his stage name.  As an actor, his given name of Savino was quite limiting.  As you can see twins run in the family.  Their two yr old twins, Lola and Lanzo, are quite the handful.

"You be good for daddy.  Mommy loves you and I will miss you to pieces." (Penelope)
Donte is taking the twins to see Penelope's mom for the day.  Penelope likes to dress them in Spanish attire when they go see their Lita (Spanish nickname for grandma).

"Honey, please drive safely.  I put everything that you need in the backpack.  I put extra Pull-Ups in the bag, because with all the excitement, they will probably forget they have to go potty.  There are plenty of snacks, even though I know my mom will have plenty to eat.  Don't let them eat too much or else they won't sleep well tonight.  Don't forget they need at least an hour nap somewhere around noon.  Lola's doll is in the bag. You know she won't get to sleep without it. (Penelope)
"Honey, we will be fine.  Don't worry.  I will call you every few hours to report in.  You know I just have to get them there and your mom will do the rest. (Donte)

Even though Penelope loves having time away from the twins, it is still hard to let go sometimes.  This is something she and Donte are trying once a month.  It gives her a much needed break and gives him more bonding time with the kids, which doesn't automatically happen when she is around.

Don't forget to come back for the cake tasting.  Hmmm. Hmmm.  Bring your appetite.

  5. Loretta - Twins run in my family, so I have to add a few twins to my town.

Frannie - Can't you just see those twins just running her ragged? There was regular chocolate cake, but it didn't make the final cut.

Chynadoll - I'm going to have fun with those twins. German chocolate is one of Rod's favorites.

    1. william - That is great! I didn't know you were a twin. They run in my family on both sides. My father is a twin. On my mother's side, her sister had 3 sets of twins and 3 singular kids on top of that. It's a shame that me nor my younger brother have kids. There was possibly a set of twins lurking about.

  7. I love the family and I'm glad you have twins running around too. They are a handful, especially when they are walking and talking and getting into all kinds of stuff.
