Introduction to the Lee Family - One of my Asian Families

The Lee Family

Meet the Lee family. Chang, the husband is an architect, who works for OTJ Architects in Washington, D.C.  Sunni, his wife, is a realtor with Coldwell Banker.  Amaya (13mos) and Ming (3yrs) are their two daughters.  Chang and Sunni have only been married for 4 years.  They are both heavily involved with the community.  Chang teaches Tae Kwon Do at the neighborhood gym (which David Anderson happens to own).  Sunni volunteers every chance she gets.  She has a pretty flexible schedule as a realtor.  She loves her job, but since getting married and having kids, she has had to strike a better balance between work and home.  Working 13 hrs days, 6 days a week is not conducive to fostering a happy home.  Chang has given her the option not to work outside the home, but she loves having a little independence.  Amaya and Ming have been a great addition to the family.  They have both softened up their dad, somewhat.  Prior to their arrival, Chang was a very serious, no-nonsense fellow.  Since becoming a dad, he has done a 180 degree shift, smiling more often and not taking everything so serious.

  1. It's just one of your asian families? Does that mean that your have other? I also have several asian dolls, but they are not a family. Maybe some of them will become a family later... It's a pity that there are no Stacie sized asian kids at all. I don't want my dolls to have only small kids, but it's often difficult or unreal to find a Stacie sized doll with the needed appearance. Well, I know, that there is an asian Only Hearts Club doll, but I'm still not sure I want to have them because of their soft body. I also know asian teen dolls: Generation Girl Mari and Claudia from Remco Babysitters Club series, but I don't have them. I have only little dolls, such as your Amaya and Ming. Maybe I'll make them sisters also... And no boys, no asian boys at all. Too bad.

  2. @ Dukasha Yes, I have another Asian family. I agree, a Stacie sized Asian doll would be wonderful! Same for little Asian boys of all sizes. I have Only Heart dolls as part of some of my families. They are great, too! The soft bodies make them so easy to play with and pose. I could never find the asian one, though. I have about 6 of them. I will try to introduce a family next time that has an Only Hearts doll. I was not aware of the Generation Girl dolls. I will have to look them up.

  3. Yes, I saw your OHC dolls in the video with many doll families. Some Russian doll collectors also have them in their doll families, but I don't. I often think that it would be good to have them, but then look at their nude photos and think: "Oh, no!" And the asian OHC girl never seemed rare to me, I saw her many times at eBay. There is also a little OHC asian girl, they are good as sisters. I saw very nice photos of the family with such sisters on Flickr.
Generation Girl Mari has Teen Skipper body, she can be the eldest daughter in the asian family.

  8. @ Ms. Leo I can't remember the name of the company that produced him. I got it at Big Lots for $10 a couple of years ago. I got quite a few. I actually painted his gloves his skin color, but I already had this picture ready. I think it might have been World Peacekeepers.

  10. A hem,.... some people will buy a peacekeeper toy with real hands and carefully switch them out with the hands of the toy with the gloved hands and then return it the next day. I'm just saying it happens!
