New Year's Party
Darius and Halle - There is absolutely nothing going on with Darius and Halle anymore. They dated earlier in the year, but Darius decided Nikki was the person he wanted to be with. Darius has worked really hard to reassure Nikki that she is his one and only. If you saw the video where Darius hired Lydia, the interior designer, back in June, you can clearly see that Nikki has some trust issues. Since that time Darius and Nikki have moved in together and things are really good. Nikki has worked through her trust issues. In this video, Darius had no idea that Halle would be there. She doesn't travel in that circle. The only reason she is there is because she and Racquel have become best friends and Racquel asked her to come.
Halle had no idea that Darius would be there because she is not aware that Racquel's husband, Terrance works with Darius. Darius has not led Halle on at all. In their most recent encounter on the airplane, he is very cordial to Halle. He does recognize that liike most men that probably come in contact with Halle, he needs to make sure his buddies run interference to keep everything above board. Halle has made it known on several occasions that she still has feelings for him, and as long as he isn't married, she feels she still has a chance.
So when Darius sees her, he isn't worried about her, he is worried about Nikki. All the work he has done to get her trustworthy again can all go out the window at this party. He chose not to tell Nikki that he saw Halle on the plane. He felt it really wasn't necessary. She would just start imagining the worst. If Halle somehow revealed this information it could be catastrophic. When Nikki asks him did he invite Halle, he can't believe that she asked that question. Hence, the intense stare down. He knows that there needs to be no question for either woman about where his heart is. He needs to start his 2012 on the right foot.
