A couple of days ago I found these cute trash cans at Rite Aid in their $1 section. They are so perfect for outside garbage cans. They can be used inside, too. They had quite a few different colors like orange, pink and lime green. I chose the colors that were closest to my outdoor can colors. Of course they can always be painted whatever color you like. The pictures below aren't great because they were shot with almost no light. Turned out well considering the circumstances.
Aren't they cute?
They indeed seem to be perfect for 1/6 scale dolls! Very lucky find! I wish I could buy such cans here, but no chances :/
ReplyDeletejewel snake - What state or country do you live in?
DeletePoland. It feels like the end of the world sometimes (especially in doll related subjects) XD
DeleteThanks Vanessa! I will check them out today.
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday!
Georgia Girl - Hope you find some. I'm probably going to get a couple more.
DeleteVery nice. I would love to have a couple of those. So I will check my Rite Aid out.
ReplyDeleteMustiwait - Good luck on your search.
DeleteThey are very cute. It amazes me of the many small scale things you are able to find. I suppose it has been so long since buying things like this, I've lost touch. I'd like to see how you will use them in your stories. Have a nice day!
ReplyDeleteLoretta - My eyes can spot those perfect items. They are trained well.

ReplyDeleteand vanessa can you please tell me were you get the metal things you put in your doll's pies.
Deletei love the cans so cute.i wish i would find them.
Deletejassica joe - There's no special source for those metal pans. They are from Rement's Mickey Go Go sets. Sometimes they will show up being sold separately. I just scour ebay looking for them. I hope you are able to find the trash cans.
DeleteThese are adorable. A couple of years ago when my Mom and I were buying school supplies she bought this pack of Pentel Recycology pens for her and they came in a doll sized trash can. So it was a win win for everybody. She got her pens, and I got a trashcan.
ReplyDeleteTracey - Got to love the win-win. I've been looking for some cool trash cans.
DeleteI don't know if they sell them that way anymore, but if you want to you can go to Office Depot @ back to school time and they might have them there if they still sell them, they'll have them.
DeleteI use mine for a trash receptical for my Mini CampGround. Bears and Racoons like to eat out of it. *evil Laugh* I find it quite Funny. >:]
Too cute!

DBG - Aren't they? I was waiting to pick up a prescription, so I was meandering through the store. Score!
DeletePerfect for that spot. Spray pain 'em silver! Oooooh.
ReplyDeleteKenya - Now I'm going to have to buy a few more and paint them silver. I don't know why I didn't think of that.
DeleteVery cute Vanessa! And wouldn't you know it.... A rite aid sorta kinda on my way home from the gym! ;)
ReplyDeleteI found some! Thanks Vanessa! Lol
veda - Glad you found some!
DeleteOoo, got a reason to go to Rite Aid today! Thanks. :)
ReplyDeleteTracy - Hope you found some!
DeleteHello from Spain: I like your new trash cans. They look real. Nice pictures of urbanization. Keep in touch
ReplyDeleteMarta - They are perfect for our doll world.
DeleteI have such a thing for garbage cans. I just love those!
ReplyDeleteRoville - You don't seem the type to have a thing for garbage cans. LOL! Hope you are able to locate some.
DeleteI love the garbage cans! They should put Oscar the grouch in one of them and make it a kids toy!
ReplyDeletesisilovessinging- That is an awesome idea! Hope you don't mind if I steal that one. About a month ago I found a stuffed Mr. Snuffleupagus. I thought about doing something with Sesame Street. Oscar the Grouch would be perfect. Don't know how I will make him, but I'm keeping this idea in mind.
DeleteThey're perfect for a 1/6 garbage recycling
ReplyDeleteSergio - Even dolls need garbage cans!
DeleteAh, man, too bad I don't have any of those stores near me. Bummer, but they look cool.
ReplyDeleteHi Muff, I saw one of you blogs with the cutest fairy that you placed her head on a monster high doll and bratz doll to compare it to your justin b doll. Do you remember which fairy she was? I would have asked you on our blog but I caught a virus on the blog post. Thanks so very much!
DeleteAG, the box had no real distinction so I cant tell you what line she is from. I don't want you to get jinxed again, but here's a link to my blog post that shows her in her original box.
DeletePlease do try to visit my blog again if you have any other questions so Vanessa wont spank me for taking up her blog space. o.0
Thanks Muff! Pls Vanessa no spankings this time....I promise to be good. :)
DeleteMuff - Goodness. Where on earth do you live that there isn't a Rite Aid nearby? You must live way out in the country somewhere.
DeleteAG Lanc and Muff - Where is my belt? LOL! No problem.
Florida just has CVS (formerly Eckerds) and Walgreens. I'd have to go to Georgia to see a Rite Aid - and yes I had to google to find that out because you know I was gonna go get some if they were local.
DeleteMuff - It's worth checking both those places to see if they have a $1 section. You never know, the cans may be there, too.
DeleteThose are cute rubbish bins (trash cans) but we haven't had bins like that in Australia for years. Ours are quite a different shape but strangely our Office Works sells pen containers in our shape in almost 1:6 size and I bought some too (I'll put some pictures on my blog if you'd like to see them). After all, even dolls need rubbish bins.
ReplyDeleteCarrickters - I like the way you Australians say things. Rubbish. LOL. I'm going to check my office supply store to see what they have.
DeleteI am on my way out and stopping by rite-aid I suppose. LOL
ReplyDeleteGrandmommy - We are all such enablers. Hope you found some. I'm going back to get a couple more.
DeleteOh those are cute! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBTW, who is putting trash out? Snoopy me, all in the lady's business ;-D
D7ana - You're welcome. Mrs. Langford is just out there fiddling with the cans. She's such a busy body.
DeleteHope the residents know not to put anything in those trash cans that contain any personal info. I'm sure none of them want their identities stolen! LOL. Bad enough having a neighborhood busy body! LOL :-)
ReplyDeleteCindi - Are you suggesting there is crime in Morristown? LOL! I will alert them to be careful. You can never be too sure.
DeleteFor sure they are cute and perfect at that price!!
ReplyDeleteRossetti - I think I need to get up now and go buy a couple more before they are all gone.
